Gillian Chung (鍾欣桐) set off last night for Beijing to attend a promotional event for sponsor XTEP, a mainland Chinese sneaker company.

The star was led through the crowd of reporters, photographers and cameramen at Hong Kong airport by around half a dozen employees from her record company, Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG), and her Twins bandmate Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍).

Around a dozen Twins fans turned up to show their support.

Asked by reporters whether or not she accepts Edison Chen (陳冠希)'s apology for the sex photos scandal, Gillian, who wore sunglasses, did not respond.

To the barrage of questions, Charlene only politely replied, "Please let us by."

Hong Kong newspapers have rumoured that Gillian has been depressed since sex photos purportedly of her engaged in sex acts with Edison started leaking onto the internet in late January.

Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒), another EEG artist, set off this morning for the XTEP event.

EEG had already told the press in advance that Nicholas would only be attending the event and would not be taking any questions.

However, reporters nonetheless shadowed Nicholas through Hong Kong airport and bombarded him with questions about his wife Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝)'s involvement in the scandal.

Asked how he was feeling, Nicholas, who wore sunglasses, replied, "Not good, because Fei Fei (沈殿霞) has just passed away."

Asked whether or not he had seen the photos, purportedly of Cecilia in sex acts with Edison, and whether or not he and Cecilia will be divorcing because of these, Nicholas did not answer but forced a smile.

The couple have not been seen together in public since the scandal broke. Newspapers have rumoured that the couple have split, but Nicholas, Cecilia and their representatives have denied this.

At the XTEP event today, Twins sang a song, while fans held up signs that read: "Support you forever".

Nicholas replied to more questions from reporters about the state of his marriage by saying, "We are very well. Thank you for your concern."

Hopefully the people will forget about this and let them live their lives.

wow .. those were some tough questions for nic there but i think he has to address them eventually. otherwise, people especially the reporters will speculate and blow things way out of proportion. these stuffs remind me so much of the dramas we've watched where simple communication or clarification would've resolved all the troubles yet people simply chose not to do so; instead denied, ignored, and/or hided from the very sources of problem.

if anything, these celebs would only create more news for themselves by acting the way they are now even though it may be humiliating or embarrassing or whatever that it. whatever happened, happened and it's irreversible so the first step is to face the problem and respond to all media questions. yes, they don't have to do this since sex or not is their own private matter but the scandal is out and everything; might as well face up to the problems and move on by killing everyone's curiosity especially the media people.

    They have matching sunglasses!

But I understand the mental strain and stress those two are in.

Reporters are like that, but whatevers. Please, only let Edison feel the downfall.

Wow, truthfully was it really that big of a matter. I just love how the HK media likes to blow up stuff like this all the time.

Maybe there will be less problem if less people care about them . Leave them alone to solve their own problem

lol Almost didn't recognize Charlene with those oversized glasses. Makes her look somewhat nerdy. I like her short hair though. And I do agree about leaving them alone. Go annoy someone else you damn dogs!
