The HD war is finally over. Hope that the technology will be made accessible for all. Like the VHS recorder
i feel sorry for all those who bough a hd-dvd player. what a waste of money that would have been. but ye this war was quite close rele cos both produced the same quality video i reckon, it was just which one was more accesible and as sony had their blu-ray player in their ps3, there were therefore gonna win.
Thank god i'd be dissapointed if HD ever won cuz the max is what 10-20 gigs both sides compared to blu rays 40-80 gig standard. 3 years we'd be storing 80 gigers on 1 compact disc ftw.
Ah success... and damn u guys beat me to the news =P It was pretty funny actually, the HD-DVD camp was getting crushed in recent weeks... one announcement after another of dropping support: best buy, blockbuster, netflix... and now death...
about time...this was due to happen after HD-DVD was getting punch in the face week after week after week...now i can finally get all of those hd-dvd movies only for blu-ray
Since the HD Wars are over and Blu ray side wins. For the laggers or late-adopters, YA CAN NOW BUY YAR BLU RAY PLAYER or PS3 -evil
Damn, but HD was pretty good, I'm surprised the battle has ended so quickly. Blu-ray player/PS3 should raise the prices now
hell yea they should... screw those pple wanting the ps3 for cheaper..!! raise it to 1,000 dollars for one!! hahahah I want my PS3 to appreciate..
i think the better product this time won. but that doesnt mean pricewise it will be better for us. but nevertheless we will see the exciting transition of dvd to brd in the coming era.
ye with its larger capacity discs it is the better product. but the vast majority of ppl prob won't buy it for another few years at which then the prices will have dropped.
The fact that PS3's uses Blu-Ray and Warner Bro announced it will produce Blu-Ray disc are a huger boost for this event.
microsoft didnt gamble. and maybe toshiba negotiated with sony about it. today came the news that they will take over another factory of sony. maybe part of the deal.
