i was an MD user for 2yrs right when the 3rd gen ipods were released... i still have mine somewhere... the problems i had really were that there was a song limit, and i can only carry so many MD's with me at all times... otherwise... the quality was good and i never had a skip... my friend dropped his off an 8ft wall and his still worked so build quality was good too...
People still use MD? But it is a great example of the failure Sony has had trying to bring in new media formats. Guess they finally succeeded with BluRay though.
It was extremely popular during the few years after its release. The MD was especially popular for amateur artists because of the good recording capabillities. I thought it was pretty robust until mp3 players came about.
I had an Mini Disc player back in high school. It was an upgrade from my CD player. It was good but I didn't like the noise it made when it read the disc. Senior year, I bought a PSP to replace the MD Player now I rock my Nano.
MD wasn't big at all for me. from a diskman straight to a compact mp3 player then a few years on upgraded to a Meizu MP4 =)
i still got a md but dont use it because its long converting the songs and its too big and heavy compared to ipod or mp3 players
i got one a few years ago after getting paid, used it.......2 weeks later.......sold it on ebay. ^^ To today i still sould see why my friends reccommed me to buy it.
i have a md player had one ages ago, a rele gd expensive sony one and used until that broke, then i got a new one to replace it but then the mp3 players came out and i got one of those so i no longer use the md player. but it was rele gd cos the size was small to carry around and it could fit a lot of songs on. but since the mp3 is smaller and fits more songs the mp3 players are better.
i still have mine..... i dont use it any more i think it was the sony mz-n1.... lol it was great except i dont carry music with me anymore.... =\
