Friday February 15, 2008 Hong Kong The first of seven shows that will form the Aaron Kwok De Show Reel Concert Extension (郭富城舞林正傳演唱會延續篇) kicked off at AsiaWorld Expo yesterday evening and as it happened to be Valentine's Day, many celebrity couples celebrated the occasion by supporting the heavenly king of dance. Spotted in the audience were Chingmy Yau (邱淑貞) and her husband Shum Ka Wai (沈嘉偉) and also Chilam Cheung (張智霖) and his wife Anita Yuen (袁詠儀). Although the recently troubled couple Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) and Cecilia Cheung (張柏芝) were unable to attend in person following Cecilia's involvement in the recent sex photos scandal, they still sent a congratulatory bouquet to Aaron that was signed as husband and wife. Aaron's own rumoured sweetheart Lynn Xiong (熊黛林) did not attend the show, however this did not seem to affect his performance as he gave some more attention grabbing performances in the show. Among the acts, the water dance was the craziest as a huge water fight broke out both on and off the stage and the audience themselves formed part of the act. Aaron and the dancers on the stage kicked up the water from the puddles as they danced, whilst fans were encouraged to spray each other with water pistols. The 360 degree stage from the last concert run was extended to a 450 degree rotation, allowing him to get closer to even more of his fans. Aaron modelled six new outfits in this show, including one outfit that was made using 80,000 crystals and weighed down heavily on his body, especially the pointed headdress. He said that as long as it made the audience happy, he did not mind working that little bit harder. During Aaron's last song of the night his microphone suddenly stopped working and even the backup microphone did not work either. Asked afterwards about the damage caused to the systems, Aaron said excitedly that the water seemed to get everywhere and although the equipment had been wrapped in plastic, they still became soaked and everything, including his earpiece, stopped working. Aaron said that it was inevitable because everyone was having so much fun and even though his eyes were red from being soaked, he said that atmosphere was wonderful and he was very happy. He laughed that his staff had suggested he should prepare a snorkel for the second night's performance. Asked if he was disappointed that Lynn could not join him for Valentine's Day, Aaron said that he has always been on his own, so he is used to this now. Asked if he had called his valentine to wish her a happy Valentine's day, Aaron said that he had been too busy preparing for the concert so he had not had time. When the reporters pointed out that it was still not past midnight, he picked up his phone and called his mother to give her a Valentine's Day wish. He said that he would like to fulfil his musical ambitions first, such as having his own musical drama, so romance will be put aside for another few years. credits: batgwa.
aaron kwok is good but old now. i don't think he should push the "love" life back any further .. beside, he can still be doing music once has a family just like jacky cheung who is very successful now. when you have the talents and established your name; there is nothing to worry about ... just gotta wait for the right timing and things will fall into places .. he will get all that he want.
Aaron is a good performer on the stage...though he dances really good, he sings just ok...anyway no one is perfect... he is really good....
as a professional singer in this industry for so long, these events shouldn't affect him, not even to a death of a family member or friend...it shouldn't be brought on stage anyways
