Sony launched PS3 120Gb because it is declining in game console market shares.

well if they keep the 120gb at the same price then it will only be gd news.

im planning on buying a new PS3 on the 17th or 18th this month. i need to get a 40 gig before sony decides they need to get rid of it and only sell 80 gigs at 499 and a 120 gig at 599. I don't need all the space. And to be honest i don't care if they make it slimmer, the fact it is so huge kind of helps me mentally justify spending all the money. If the thing were tiny i would expect the price to be tiny as well.

in Australia, we first had 60gb, which have been discontinued

We now currently have 40gb models at a lower price

now 120 and 160gb and coming out, cant wait till they get here, i dont have a ps3 yet =P

  7. i think they might add back the backwards compatibility..

holy shit, devil may cry 4 takes up 5 gigs of hard drive space...

if i buy a 40 gig PS3 then 1/8th of my system will be taken up by a single game....

and if future games continue to take 5 gigs or more that means i will only be able to have 6-7 games saved on my PS3 at any one time....

shiiiiit.... well i guess i can always upgrade the HDD if im feeling adventurous

  9. its temp data.. not the save file.. so u can always delete it.. 40gb should be enough unless u want to put videos on it..

Nope. If they do decide to add it back it will be like the 360. The reason they got rid of the backwards compatibility was to lower the price.
