Saturday February 02, 2008 Hong Kong Hong Kong Police have arrested four more people in a series of arrests, late last night and early this morning, in connection with the nude and sexually explicit images purportedly of Edison Chen (陳冠希), Gillian Chung (鍾欣桐), Bobo Chan (陳文媛) and Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) that emerged on the web this week. A police spokeswoman said the suspects, three men and one woman, aged 29 to 31, were arrested on suspicion of violating obscene material laws, but have not been charged and were being detained for further investigation. These arrests bring the total number of people held by police over the scandal to five. Chung Yik Tin (鍾亦天), a 29-year-old unemployed man, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with publishing obscene material. He appeared before a magistrates' court yesterday. credits: batgwa.
isn't this a waste of police money and time. surely it could be better spent in catching actual criminals.
invasion of privacy is considered a crime i believe. i doubt the 4 arrested will say anything even if they did post the photos...what a weird start to 2008 with all this "scandal"
