Toshihisa Yamamoto, 48, from Minoo, Osaka Prefecture, was arrested for indecent assault. He admits to the allegations. "She was an enchanting woman wearing a miniskirt and I was so turned on," he told the police. Police said that some time in the early hours of Monday Yamamoto reached beneath the skirt of the girl sitting next to him, thrust his hand into her panties and performed an indecent act on her. The girl, a part-time worker from Kanagawa Prefecture, asked Yamamoto if he had molested her and the academic admitted having done so, police said. The girl told the driver of the bus traveling from Osaka to Tokyo, who called the police. The driver stopped the bus at a service area along the Tomei Expressway in Toyoda, where officers were waiting to arrest Yamamoto. Yamamoto was on his way to Tokyo to attend a conference when the incident occurred.
