^hmmm never had that problem... are you only converting one file to dvd? or a bunch, cause you may not be able to fit so many on one disk
I am only converting one file, 221MB. I even try converting "batch convert" and only opening that file...I was able to see the progress doing this, it went up to 96% and then the message popped up that the file finished converting. Hmmm, not really sure what's going on because some files would convert fully while others do not.
Question is how did you download this file? If this is via P2P, like Bit Torrent or eMule, there is a chance that you didn't download the whole file. Result is that WinAVI will not recognize part of the file. If you get the file from DDL then perhaps you should try to convert to another format first and see if this problem also happens.
its possible a few minutes are corrupt and so winavi wont convert them winavi is like that, i was converting war and destiny and just because of a problem with the sound at this one point which i could watch through normally as rmvb, winavi would convert the video but the sound would suddenly stop redownload the file and try again
The problem with flat files and P2P download is that you never know if you have downloaded the whole thing. Best solution is that the uploader compress it in zip or arj. Since there compressed files contain a checksum.
I had been using WinAvi for months. I used it to convert the videos to dvd. Then I burnt them with Nero 7. Then all of sudden, the converted videos by WinAvi to dvd play no sound/audio. I retried to convert the old videos that had no problem before, but now, they don't have sound too. I don't know what caused it? Please help......!
^same problem here, i have to convert it to .vob with super first then convert with winavi to fix that problem lol...
I tried to convert with Super but the converted file also stopped at 4 minutues played time (ex: 34mb out of 110mb). Can you guide me to select the settings on Super if I want to convert to .vob? You just ran the .vob video on Winavi wihtout any settings changed? It then plays properly. I wonder why Winavi acts up this way (no sound). Did you convert to dvd option with Winavi? Thanks!
use cucusoft rmvb or allok rmvb. type it in google and u will get search result. they allow you to just convert rmvb to dvd-video straight away. i dont even know why winavi is so popular among rmvb users cuz its slow and quality isnt that good.
Is Cucusoft a freeware? I use AVS Video Converter. It takes 1 hour for each episode. I still can't convert with Winavi (no sound). I guess that after our microsoft updates. I don't know how to diagnose the problem such as which codec for Winavi. Thanks
i am having the same problem also.. all the converted file has no audio but the picture is just fine. NewAzNSensation u say need to convert it to .vob using super - what is super?? can u elaborate please.....
Super stinks... i've tried so many time using Super, it always fails me right away... im sticking with winavi for vista lol
the only problem with no sound after conversion was caused by your recent update of real player 11. Real player causes a codec conflict. Remove it if you had installed it, then install real alternative or real player 10.5.
anybody use WinAvi 9.0 yet, do you guys recommend the upgrade and for those who has the sound problem with WinAvi 8.0, did 9.0 fix it?
he's probably rite u know cos i don't have real player and all my conversions on winavi have no problem in sound.
Winavi 9.0 doesn't fix the problem. The only difference between 8 and 9 I noted is the face color from blue to red. There're maybe other features but I haven't figured out yet. I thought that this new version can convert mkv files but not yet.
is the conversion speed any quicker on the new one and is the quality of the conversions better or is it the same?
