Is there a way to clean puma sneakers and keep them nice ? My pumas are getting dirty and I'm afraid if I use a scrub it'll make it look worse >.<"....sigh* I really like them =/ Can someone please help me out?-down
i chucked my pumas in the washing machine a few times... just use a net or something else if ur scared they get damaged
yes it does...i chuck all my sneakers in there...without net actually... hahaha....thats what i do on weekends...and sometimes i walk on them wooden shoes
a washer..toothbrush n soap/water....or typical shoe spray..then again..u gota know what kinda material the kicks are...
Yea, as angie has said, chucking them in the washer is the best thing to do. Make sure to use cold water tho cuz hot water might discolor them. Regular soap will do the job.
im a baller, when my shoes get dirty i just buy new ones bahahaha jokes, i wish i could afford that kind of careless lifestyle
I used to have a pair of Cavali sneakers in soft suede (purple too!) and I use soap water to wipe it down followed by clean water wipe... Then air dry... Soft suede is a hell to maintain, but it looks better slightly worn Never put it in a washer because the suede will bunch up (coz it soaked up with water).
how long does it take for air dry o.o lols oh and do you use a cloth to clean the sneaker or some kind of scrub?
Cloth, like your dish rag type, nothing fancy Depending on what kind of air you got there (humid vs. dry) it range from 2-3 hours to overnight. Don't try to accelerate the process with hot air (putting it next to the furnace or something), it would discolor the suede, and even overdry it so that it cracks next time you wear it...
What I do is treat my puma's with a leather protector when I just buy it. Makes cleaning them easier. (This may not apply to your current shoe now =p) Usually I use a toothbrush with some laundry detergent with bleach and scrub away! Or just go to a shoe store and buy the cleaner, I've never really used them myself so I'm not quite sure as to how well they work
For suede, if your city is a snowy/rainy one, make sure it gets dried after you stomp through snow and ice... You can prolong the life of the leather if you don't let it remain wet for prolonged periods of time... And you may have to consider cleaning it religiously everyday (after use) if your city snows (or is extraordinarily humid) because excessive moisture and those salt/chemical things can't be good for the suede.
Even though taking garments to the dry cleaner is a very convenient option, dry cleaning severely reduce the possible life span of a piece of garment (and clothes would lint much more easily)...
guess it dpeends on how long u expect hte garment to last as well?? i know that all those stuff i get here in china, hope it'll last me a few months!! lolz
