I have about half a year to make some costumes for the annual Anime convention that I go too I already have several in mind, but I also always do several HA HA HA so I wanted some ideas I dont really watch anime anymore, so all the animes i have in my head are old ones I wanted suggestions of some popular very NEW 2006/2007/2008 released animes where I will be reconized, and the costume looks really cool also after looking at suggestions, I will also watch the anime, so i can get into character although some animes are popular and good, I want a good cosplay so nothing boring looking so no DeathNote or Oraun Host Club (the costumes aren't very impressive) Please include pictures, and comments on each other's posts
claymore - a very popular 2007 anime/manga release with more than 50+ characters (49 current claymores + deceased characters + yomas). it's a stunning costume if you find fabric with the correct weight & iridescence.
what kind of genre are you looking for. Action fighting type or happy school/magician type or evil/good big small you name it

Your costume for Yoko-san from XXXholic's cool *HEARTS* Seeing that you've got a Sailor Moon character, perhaps a CLOVER character? A bit old, but it was quite a cult hit back then... Suu or Oruha? They came back in Tsubasa Chronicles...
well i've already done two years of tsubasa, so i dont want to do it anymore i like doing it when it was JUST coming and people would reconize it but i dind't bump into many people who had the same character as me you should have seem the back of it, it was awesome
tee hee i found the pictures from my tsubasa costume this girl was dressed as the mokona, we had lots of fun together
I would just like to add something onto Claymore. The character design is total crap. If you want to look like an ugly half human, half whatever thing. This would be your best choice. Of course you'll need to distort your face a little..... Damn I hate claymore.
Depending on your crowd... I think Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's got a new series... Though I don't think it's that popular in the English crowd.
