Having already proven his acting chops and box office draw with the blockbusters Initial D and Curse of the Golden Flower, Taiwanese singer Jay Chou makes his directorial debut with the romantic drama Secret. In addition to starring and directing, Chou came up with the original story and music for the film and he proves to be remarkably assured on all counts, making Secret one of the most pleasant surprises of 2007. While the director himself is still a relative newcomer to acting, co-stars Anthony Wong and Guey Lun Mei (Blue Gate Crossing) are both extremely talented actors, with Guey giving an especially captivating performance as the film's mysterious female lead. Chou also smartly plays to his own strengths by displaying his piano skills on screen and enlisting friends Yu Hao, Zhang Jie, and Devon of Nan Quan Mama as supporting cast. ^ You can use a program like Vobsub, which is what I use with softsubs. Not that big of a hassle actually. Just download the video and the subs, get Vobsub started and then use SubMux I'm pretty sure. When they tell you to save it as an .avi or whatever it is, just make sure that you rename the word file the exact same as the video file and the subs should play along with the video. For if some reasonSubMux from Vobsub doesn't work well, try Subresync, which is also one of the two programs of Vobsub. Once you poke around the program, you'll get it, it's pretty easy actually.
Uh, you realize that the subs are most likely for that specific movie only? Like the subs were created only for that 2 part movie. If you want a one part sub file you probably need to find it some where else. Most subs are created for a specific file and not for other ones . . . you guys should google the title of the movie you dled. For example you could just google "secret.dvdrip.2007.bien-xvid.avi" or "secret.dvdrip.2007.bien-xvid.srt" for the subs or something. Again, each subs are MOST likely crafted for their original ripper and not for another ripping group. And for someone who asked above, no, these subs are SOFT subs, meaning they can not be embedded into the movie. Embedded subs are called HARD subs. Soft subs require something else. Google "Combined Community Codec Pack" and you should be able to download a crap load of codecs and stuff that should enable you to basically play any file/subtitle using WMP. If not, you are SOL.
