I thought Ebola is too effective in killing its host to be sustained... Outbreak just comes to mind when I read this... -unsure
Oh yeah heard about this Ebola outbreak too... poor Congo people! It was just earlier today I'd heard a journalist on radio telling how girls and women in Congo gets brutally raped and murdered by rebellions and a boy who got his buttocks burned away leaving hardly any flesh and can't even poo now due this gruel abuse and now this Ebola virus treats their lives too...-ohmy
wow simply wow, they should stop eating bush meat period...stop eating monkeys and will be better off.
^ I hope you know that a lot of the villages are very poor. Bush meat at times are the only means of food to eat. Hopefully the MSF will be able to come up with solution to prevent further deaths and contamination.
yeah, well if it has the potential to make people sick then they should stop eating it and maybe enterprise on the capture of wild animals that aren't protected. man people in the west are really lucky for having such good medical care.

when people don't have anything to eat besides bush meat its not as simple as simply stopping. and if they did they would die of starvation, better off in your opinion.... we should try an put ourselves in their situation before commenting.
Ooh...yeah..ive read something about this in the papers the other day.... It's just so scary....feel sorry for those ppl... it sounds so far away..but u never know...
i was watching a documentary on deadly diseases and one of the top scientists who work for the united states government top level security science labs says he would rather be infected by anything other then Ebola virus because you'd die a slow painful death and survival rate is like %10 so next time u think about saving someone don't let them cough blood into ur face , it can get through and soak into ur eyes! I know this is true for ebola just need someone to confirm with aids. As for bush meat yes what can ya do people have nothing to eat and are starving to death. A good majority of them get infected through hospitals not being sanitized so instead of coming to check for a fever they leave with something even worse. So think twice about visiting countries with unsanitized hospitals/culture/poverty , dont do stupid stuff that will make u end up in the hospitals.
You got the slow and painful part right... It take around 7-14 days and multi organ failure isn't what I would call a comfortable death...
