go to asian hair dresser...tell em to use a knife to cut ur hair instead of scissors...and tell em u want lots of layers...
and then to style it just play with it using mousse/spray

u might wanna print the pic and show it to the hairdresser

and yes she is the girl from My lucky star. I am soo into this girl right now.. the way she dresses, the way she does her hair(in the drama). it's so gorgeous and so.. asian? (asian style i mean)

btw.. i've never heard of asking someone to cut your hair with a knife? lolz even in asian salons, where i'm from.. they would probably look at me weirdly

lorrin, do u have a thick straight hair? Just show the stylist the pic and all u need is a wax, gradually strand by strand apply to the end of your hair to make it spike out.

You cant use direct link from "Asianfanatics"

But I'll recommand "Sebastian" clay, they cost roughtly around $25-30 but can last for 6 month or longer

You can mold your hair easily and hold them steadily and gives a bit of shine like gel...

hmm.. we can't post html on here? well anyways thanks for all the suggestions i will try it out. i have thick hair with lots of layers (front & back). but i'm still concerned with the front look (the poof?) will the wax hold it up?

i think he/she meant cut your hair using a razer instead of scissors.

I know right, I want to cut like that too, but then I think they have to use spray for times. It is not like normal hair, where u just wake up then comb ur hair then go to school. U have to actually put mousse/spray on, that's the part I hate about.

it looks like they put a lot of layers on... i agree with most people, that you should print out the picture and bring it with you, it'll probably be easier that way
