The Bhuddhist refer to this as "The Third Eye". It's suppose to be your spiritual eye, located in the centre of your forehead. Do you sometimes feel a place gives you the chills, that you're afraid for no particular reason and you feel that there's something there when there isn't? We can still sense this things when our third eye is closed but we can't see them. The living isn't suppose to to see or have contact with the dead. We live in 2 different worlds. But sometimes, the third eye doesn't close as they are suppose to. This is more common in children. This is because it is believed that when we are born, our "spiritual soul" (not the one we need to live with lar) must go to heaven and that closes our third eye. Some children's "soul" are simply late in ascending and that leaves their third eye open, making them able to see all these spirits and ghost. Most children just grow out of it when their "soul" ascends but some don't. Itsimply never goes up and they continue to see spirit and ghost. This is why most cases of sighting are usually young children and the like. I have a relative with such a case till she was about 5. She used to laugh when she's a baby in her cradle alone, freaking her parents out. She even asked her mother, "who's that" and pointed to a invisible person. She's still at the age of too young to lie at that time. It never occured again after 5 though.
^ that is so interesting. I mean with all these cultures in the world believing in ghosts, I mean it has to at least somewhat real.
idono if ghost are real, they shouldn't be scary, i mean shit they're invisible, transparent how much harm can they actually do? not as if they carry guns and knives around so you can't get harmed... but na, i don't believe in this ghost stuff, i do believe in curses though, iono how that works, but bad luck /good luck definitely exists, this is kinda off topic huh?
hum... i don't really believe in ghosts and stuff... but.... after a car accident... My dad gave me his necklace that he's worn for as long as i can remember, and said it'll protect me and to never take it off. That night in bed, i woke up as i felt someone come into my room, i suddenly felt vulnerable (cuz i was lay'n down... horrible fighting position not to mention i couldn't see cuz i was facing my wall) . At first i thought "humm.. must be my dad or mom to check on me to see if i was doing ok. Then it struck me, i lock my door when i go to bed. It seemed like i felt a hand on my shoulder,i started to sweat, then a body pressed against the back of mine. My body wouldn't move, it felt extremely heavy and tired. After about 10 secs or so i gathered enough strength... or will and turned fast with my entire body following. As i was turning i thought i saw something slip out the door from the corner of my eye, a shadow? And i heard the faint clink of my door knob. i looked around my room, dark... but i could tell it was empty. wasn't a dream cuz right after that i stood up and wrote on a piece of paper "WTF?" and then went back to sleep lol. havent really watched a horror movie in a while now. didnt eat anything weird... Only out of the ordinary thing that happened that day was my car accident, no one was hurt... in fact i was probably in the most danger but 100% fine... this all happened like last thurs/friday morning
that is kinda creepy... i just had something similar. i wouldn't say it's a ghost but like a half dream? i don't know what it was... but i was resting in the car after doing some field work. i laid back, and in the bak of my mind, was hoping that nobody sees me resting here with my eyes closed. my eyes were slightly open, only very little... like how you'd be just when you fall asleep. and someone came by in a blue shirt, all i saw was this light blue shirt cuz my eyes weren't fully open, and he said "wut r u doing? can i use the car.. and walked by." i was tryin to open my eyes and get up but i couldn't, especially since i dint want whoever it was to think i was resting. i was like, 'wtf... get up!!' after about 30 seconds or so, i finally got up and looked around and dint see anyone. =/
But I thought that one of the things people do when they're scared XD j/k Maybe because you're really tired and your mind just wonders off, if not it would be scary if this happens at night time. I find accident story interesting. I know someone who say they saw they're loved one next to them after a terrible accident. Don't know if it's an hallucination or someone is really protecting them. It could be one of those, which is quite interesting.
My grandma used to be able to see those from very young up till her late years. Scary to think about seeing those your whole life and especially alone.
In despite what you think, i can say that this is not scary to see ghost all your life, even alone..... because usually they are not here to scare you, but just here to help you and to show you something...Moreover, when you see ghost, you don't really think about it and most of the time it's only after a while that you notice who they are really... since i was young i always see or heard things that no one notice around me ( i even had mark of tooth in my leg when i woke up that i never could explain where it comes..like someone bite me during my sleep), but well, instead to say that i was hanted i prefer to think that it was just my imagination ....i believe in ghost and their existence but nothing more..because they have their world and i have mine...And then, i'm sure that for people who can see ghosts, even in their dream they never leave them alone, especially when you know personnaly some people who die...-^_^
yup i agree... i believe in ghosts.. but i guess if u dont disturb them, they wont disturb u too.. but haha who noes, if i see one tt is really scary looking, i prob faint 1st

Hard to say... One day when you die where would you think you'd go? To heaven? So then wouldn't you be like a ghost right? Cause that's basically life after death. So hmm, I don't think the world of ghosts and humans ever collide like in horror movies: how would they interact? But possibly it exists as life after death, but would never be possible to prove.
scary kinds? It depends on what you mean by that... If you think that ghosts are like what you see in the movie, i can say that it's totally wrong..because usually they take the form that you give to us... i always try to convince myself that some things that i can see or heard are just from my imagination but sometimes it's more harder than what i say or think... My elders always told me that if you want to know if it's a ghost or not just look at if their foot are on the ground...but only the thing to think that what you have in front of you is not something real is already scary that's why it's better to ignore if who you see is a human or not...As long as you ignore, you can't be afraid... i don't know if someone live this experience before, but it's like when you sleep and then wake up because seems like something heavy is on you and you can't move, shout or open your eyes...i think that this is the more scary experience that you can live because then you get fear and you start to choke and be really afraid... But well, i know that ghost are just here to protect some people and they are not harmful....
I believe there are supernatural forces out there though I've not seem them and don't wish to. VietBoy, why your mom consulted a medium to see the house? Did she saw/experienced something? (goose bum talking it.) A friend of mine, just moved 6 months ago. Her previous house, she saw not one, not two but three ghost. ( a man, boy and old lady) Most of the time about 5 am she would hear loud bang in her kitchen. She showed me, occasionally she would get bite marks/bruises in her upper inner tight. Until one day her daughter cried, struggling to breath saying someone strangled her. Asked a priest to bless and cleanse the house, doesn't help. scary eh ...?
My answer would be Yes. (from what I think how you perceive ghost should be) Ghost is merly a form/consciousness on a different frequency range then yourself. Like a Radio, when you tune to channel 1 you hear channel 1, when you tune to channel 2 your hear channel 2 but that doesn't mean channel 1.5 doesn't excist, maybe you hear something noisy or not clear is because you are not (or supressed) tuning correctly. We human beings are basiccaly blind in terms of what human sight can perceive to see and what there is to see.
