In my mind I do, yet I've never seen one before, hopefully never. Funny how we are afraid of things thats we've never seen before.
^ I agree with Loreen. Ghost are lost spirits right? They'd not bother people if people don't bother them. Well, mostly anywayz. people have the potential to do great good and great evil. Humans are a lot scarrier and unpredictable.
we tend to fear ghosts because we cant see them, if we could see them im sure it would scare us anyway...... usually they just scare you, some people can take it, most cant. if they physically harm you then its time to move house -boat
^Agree to that. I was watching "A Haunting" on demand and this ghost doesn't want anybody to live there so he scares off the people who just moved in/physically hurt them when they didn't get out. Interesting show though. Here's the episode. http://youtube.com/watch?v=5iMENYAWrm4&mode=related&search= http://youtube.com/watch?v=idl1xEDZS9c&mode=related&search= http://youtube.com/watch?v=vC9XZ5V9su4&mode=related&search= http://youtube.com/watch?v=BLLzVgCp_PU&mode=related&search= http://youtube.com/watch?v=dP2FUT53QGQ&mode=related&search=
I don't believe in them partly because I can't see them, but if I saw them, I would freak out. But I think it would depend on what they look and act like. I think I could handle them if they're not like horror movie ghosts.
I have been doing some paranormal research and I have to say that I believe in ghosts.. I am also a christian, and as you can see there are some things that have discrepencies for me.. I can't really explain everything, but it looks like ghosts exists, here is my research and personal belief. So I have had many... upwards of 20 friends who claim they have seen their relatives. My recent friend from college told me that when she was little, her grandpa just died, and she swears that she saw him on her bed in the same position as if he was reading his book. This is a very common case, and all 20 friends had these similarities. THey were young Their relative just passed away they were not afraid the child was very attached to the deceased relative. The interesting part of this story is that when I was talking to her about other ghosts, she was really scarred, but when we talked about her grandpa, she was not afraid at all. Which is interesting considering how much she is afraid of ghosts. Personally I have had two ghost stories myself. I used to walk through a cemetery on my way home, don't ask thats just how it was. Well one night it was kinda late, and it was dark by the time I got to the cemetery. I remember noting the sky was a dark blue before going into the cemetery. When I entered it was pitch black inside. Like darker than I have ever seen in all my life in the wild, I thought this was normal, because well the cemetery doesn't have lights, but... when I looked at the sky to see if the moon was out, I swear, the sky was RED!!. not just a little hint of red, but really red. I see clouds, but they were red too. I did see the moon though it was round and bright, but the light somehow did not reach the cemetery floor. I was listening to my Ipod this whole time, and just sped up my walk. When I got to the top part of the cemetery, the mausoleums, I saw the door open. Let me explain a little, maybe the mausoleum in my cemetery is a little different. This is the place, to the best of my knowledge, where they leave the bodies before they cremate them. So it is a large building with church windows, and well one window was open, and inside was pitch black, there is a van parked outside the mausoleum, and it had its lights on, and engine running, but no driver. The door to the mausoleum was open and nothing inside, not light or anything, I was pretty freaked, and kinda ran a little, when I fell down on a path. I take this shortcut through the cemetery, which is a path before graves that is laid out with tiny rocks and trees along the path, well this time I ran and fell and when I hit the floor, it felt like really soft dirt, not rocky or jagged at all. Which is really surprising to me. I got up quickly and ran. Now that I think about it, I felt the path might have been almost like dried oak pieces and stuff, I still don't know, I have tried to fall and touch the ground with my hands, and it stings, not the same feeling as the first fall at all. My other ghost story is one day I was cooking, and I left some oil spills on the counter, and I wiped it away, and ate my dinner upstairs without thinking. At this time, I was the only one home. Basically when I came downstairs to wash dishes, I saw the oil spots still there, and I thought maybe I forgot to wipe it last time, and so I just wiped it off instinctively, and when I tossed the paper towel, I saw the other piece of paper towel I used earlier, with the same oil marks. Yeah, if you guys have any other cases of ghost hauntings I would love to analyze them for you and stuff.
^interesting ghost stories. I thought the list of things people have in common in seeing a ghost is interesting because I agree with those. But I also believe that if a ghost wants you to noticed their presence they do stuff to let you see or feel. Like when my family just moved into a new house everyone saw some strange presence. I saw my brother sitting still like he frozed up, he didn't move, but I didn't pay attention. A few minutes later he ran down the stairway real fast and said something was sitting next to him, I thought it was a joke though that time. At night me and my sister noticed a small shadow (almost like a little kid figure) walking passed by us usually down the stairway and the living room. We kinda thought our eyes were playing tricks since we were so tired. The next day when I was fixing the attic by myself, something blew air next to my neck and said something close to boo (woo or something), I thought it was my little brother so I looked around and thought he was hiding behind one of the boxes in there, when I saw no one, I jet down the stairway real fast and saw him in the second floor helping my parents fixing some stuff. So I guess, it just wanted to be noticed only. People think we're crazy when we said we think something is in the house though. Anyway, do you believe that a spirit can enter someone dreams to tell them something?
a friend of mine told me a really scary story of him when he was a child. it involved a clown, and we all know clowns are scary... anyway, he was a kid, he was with his grandmother going to his grandparents place. they live in an old apartment building next to a cemetary. everytime he went there, they would take the elevators to the apartment which was on the top floor. except this one day, where the elevator was broken so they would have to take the stairs so his grandmother carried him, it was his first time going up the stairs at that place and he saw a drawing of a clown on the wall... and then... the clown moved and he told his grandmother, but the grandmother didn't even look, she just kept walking, so the clown was just on the wall following him up the stairs, and he kept tellin his grandmother but she wouldn't even turn her head and she just kept walking. yea that story creeped me out, i heard this story about 5-6 yrs ago. it's weird, cuz he was tryin to tell her but she wouldn't even look, cuz she knew what it was. plus I kinda believe in ghost...n i never want to see one and according to physics there is a possibility judging by some physics law that someone explained to me that made it seem possible. i forgot wut it was exactly, but something to do with conservation of energy.
First thanks for that story, it is really interesting, and your story sounds very similar to the stories they feature in the discovery channel show called "A Haunting". I am curious though, did the ghosts stop doing these things? Did they ever try to do something really crazy? Like toss books around? Something to really scare you? Because some ghosts are friendly, some are confused, some are angry, and the really angry ones might not even be ghosts, they might be demons. I am interested.. tell me more. and as for the story of the clown, it seems that the clown might be some kind of ghost trying to tell the people who live there something, kinda creepy that the grandma somehow knew about it. Hmm.... But yeah the thing that I hear about spirits in science makes it kinda real, we all lose a certain amount of weight when we die, and people argue that it is the soul leaving the body.
i personally believe in ghosts, however i also scared of them. its hard embracing the unknown. but my believe is that we're constantly surrounded by ghosts and these ghosts are the nice ones, much like how thers good people and bad people (kinda plain in logic, but yea). since theres more good people than bad, the same should apply, should it not? besides, there has to be more to life than just what we're experiencing now and death. merely the start of another journey in my opinion.
t I have never seen anything come close to 'ghosts' or 'spirits'...except in movies obviously..I hear many stories from my friends and on the radio. I wouldn't exactly know if these are considered as goo gwhy(weird) things happening to me that might involve ghosts..but here goes..maybe somebody might have a more logical explanation to this.. Well there was this one afternoon that really gave me the creeps..when i was walking to the kitchen and stepped into the hallway where i can just see the microwave from the corner..the microwave suddenly turned on. I just paniced, didn't do anything but run to the boyfriend and confronted to him about what i just saw. Maybe, we just needed a new microwave? =T There's another time, where i was phoning with a friend late at night in my boyfriend's bedroom. The boyfriend stepped out of the room to go to the kitchen. Minutes later there was a bang on the door like someone was pushing on the door but it was locked (but the door wasn't locked)..I thought it was my boyfriend that was behind the door, but when I opened it no one was there..I call for his name, but didn't get a reply..I close the door and I carried on with the conversation with my friend. Just then, the door made a bang again..like someone was trying to push on the other side but wasn't turning the door knob. I freak out..I started to panic and told my friend what had happen but he just tells me that I'm overthinking it..all of a sudden the phone goes staticy for a sec and the call ended..I was really scared then..panicing and breaking down because I'm very sey dom (easily scared). I called him again and asked him if he hung up by accident or maybe it was his reception..but he had full reception and he was using headsets. I opened the door again, again nobody..I call for the boyfriend this time he came in and he told me he was cooking in the kitchen and didn't knock on the door.. I told him what had happened and he told me that he went to the bathroom walked passed the bedroom twice to go to the bathroom and back to the kitchen. He said probably that was why the door moved twice.. I'd like not to believe in them..but that doesn't mean i do either.. ;x
i can see ghost from time to time......... i went to a lady that can predict the feature or watever. she said i have a third eye... and i actually can see some stupid stuff its funny cause i end up laughing it off
^ What kind of stupid stuff? And I don't believe in ghost but interested in those films that talks about it ^^
I have heard a few ppl say that and always wonder if it is true. I have had ppl tell me that they can even communicate with them. Watching Ghost Whisperer makes me realise there could be truth in it.
