Before It was just train hard and eat right, that's how to achieve your goal. That's what I've thought at least. But I've realized that workout and lose weight, etc. isn't just motivation and just train hard. One most think of positively toward every aspect of life, that means not only think of motivation when you workout, but outside of that. Work, Daily Life, Working out, relaxing. You need to have a stable yet powerful sense of mind, be positive at everything you do. Use all negativities that comes toward you as energy to burn it off. Recent studies shows that, two people eating the same amount of fast food and after a month. One remains normal and one becomes fat. Why? Because one was under a lot of stress, when one is in a depressive or bad mood. Their body tries to obsorb the food which makes them fat. The one that's not in a stress, their body is active feeling fine. Heart rate and blood pressure is all normal. Working out isn't just for your body and also for your mood, making you feeling better after you workout. Your body is more active. I'm going to train myself like this, enjoying life and keep myself happy. Instead of being stressed all the time and then workout. I will let you all know how effective this might work. I am determined.
you forget that every body isnt the same.. like me.. i also stress alot... and i eat ALOT.. but you dont see me getting fat... so it doesnt have to be like that
i believe the mindset of working out and etc your talking about can be summed up in: Dedication, Motivation, and Confidence... there's another word i'm think'n about that would sum this up well but it isn't clicking...
most of the people in america is overweight comparing to other countries not everyone has the perfect metabolism, and also when you get to my age.... try to eat a lot and see how much different it is. When a person grows older, it's very hard to lose weight due to their metabolism will not be the same as when they are younger. If you are between 13-29, it's fairly easy for some but not toward everyone of course. But for people like me, it's very hard
since most of the people in america has it in the blood and cant be helped... and i know in the future i will get problem if i eat as much as now.... but hey... enjoy it now you still can
Most of the people in america is effected by the fast food and their sleeping disorders and stress minded. There are skinny people with faster metabolism out there, but how many people can say that they can eat big macs every meal and not gain weight? To just lose weight, it's not hard. Mainly cardio will fix the problem. How many people out here wants to train on muscles and at the same time lose weight? How many people want to look more toned and in shape and not just another skinny asian guy or girl? Motivation works in one part. Workout hard works in another. Happy mood will work a greater part because it helps you not only when you are in the gym, laughter helps. I've trained on my 6 pack, my chest, arms and legs and felt there was something missing because I workout as hard as the next person yet I'm still not as strong as I wanted to be. I will put it to the test... becoming a stronger yet happier and tougher person to see how effective I can be. Current Bench Press weights - 260 lbs Current Leg Press weights - 550 lbs
I'm 150lbs and 5'7~ish When I was 190, I used to bench 320 but at last... I lost a lotta weight and my muscles went out with it. Same thing with my legs, I used to leg press 650lbs. I do 5 sets of 10-12
ummm...i congratulate u on ur dedication and all but...don't take this offensively or anything okay? but, how about just chilling a little. from ur threads, u seem a little...too obsessed. it's great that u have this goal and u wanna work towards it but at the same time, it almost seems like it has engulfed ur life.
No sacrifices, No success. I see what you are saying but at the same time, it's for everyday life purpose. I make good money, but I can make better money. I have a nice car, but I want to have a better car. It's the boost and the competition for life. It's not just about encouraging others to workout and become a health freak. Maintaining everything in a good order, you know I workout hard, I work hard and I play hard. I'm not so different from the people that are taking college courses in the grad schools, they are motivating themselves with a goal and that is to get a degree and by any means to keep it up. No one likes to study but we have to in order to obtain to a certain goal.
i agree with u with the "the no sacrifices, no success" motto. i'm all for that. i wouldn't be busting my ass with school and two jobs if i didn't. but at the same time, it doesn't seem like u will ever be happy with what u have. for instance, u make good money like u said, but u want more. that's good but at the same time, ur so focused on having more that u don't stop to enjoy it. i don't even know what my point is anymore. all i know is, when i read ur posts, all that comes to my mind is, "this guy needs to chill a little"
it's part of human nature to be greedy. you always want something more and it's the same for everyone. it is neverending. and once you get what you want, you're going to want something else. i agree that you have to relax and enjoy life and i understand why u think he needs to "chill" a little, he seems really motivated to work out. not everyone in the u.s. is fat, especially not me... i'm actually trying to gain weight, i've also been motivated to work out and stay healthy, play ball, run, bench, etc along with trying to eat more, but at the same time, tryin to gain muscles, and not fat. i just have extremely high metabolism so it's difficult. i dont believe in the stress will make u gain weight... i stress all the time, i work and still go to school. but instead its more possible for me to lose weight with stress and most likely get pimples. i still try to make time to have fun/go out whenever i can.
gah, I was talking about eating unhealthy while being stressed... just being stressed won't make you overweight. Also, people with high metabolism that thinks they don't need to workout as hard as others. I used to have super high metabolism and didn't have to workout at all, but it's not about that. For strength training and power and muscles, you will need to eat right and workout right. Doesn't matter how high your metabolism is. And depends on how you train your body.
