What does this have anything to do with milk and weight loss??? Care to elaborate? -huh I smell delicious sarcasm somewhere nearby... is that from you lee-lee? -rolleyes
It's okay I was joking -hug Back to the milk thing... I've heard that over indulgence of this drink can cause an upset stomach = diarrhea = dehydration = weight loss... But what a painful way to lose weight, not to mention VERY temporary...
nothing related to milk... just stating that there is such a thing as water weight and what it is/does... that's all
Just because the weight come from hydration (water) does not necessary means they are water weight. I personally think you are not losing weight, per se, since it's not exactly something you CAN lose (unless one can remain dehydrated for the rest of one's life, which will not be very long if that's the case) -whistle Another example: you can't say "blood weight" just because if you have major blood loss and lose weight along the way. Take what the fad diet say with a pinch of salt, they throw in proper medical terms just to confuse people who go "oh I've heard of that on a health program, this fad diet must have more credibility"...
i think ur misunderstanding me a bit... there are fad diets out there that say people can lose 5-10lbs in a week... or people miraculously say they lost 10lbs in a week... there are three possible ways that can happen... one is if someone is really overweight atleast 35 BMI, these people can lose a ton of weight quick without being dangerous(1% bodyweight per week)... second way is if they're fasting, practically eating nothing, about 1000calories a day sorta thing(more than 2lbs per week is usually dangerous for neone under 35BMI)... in which case u start losing lean muscle mass... third way is water weight, weight that comes and goes(basically the natural weight fluctuations of any given person through breakdowns of carbs and protein), in other words someone can say they lost 10lbs in a week, but they'll gain it all back within the next two weeks because their bodies restabilize...
OH, so you are talking about the dehydration/water-deprivation fad. I see... Just pointing out that in fact that is not an effective way to lose weight permanently, is all... -whistle
yup that is all... not drinking water is one of the worst things u can do to your body milk on the other hand... only in moderation
Skim milk I guess? And if you go for soya milk, go for the ones made in the Chinese style = less sugar/flavouring... I usually get the sugar free or low sugar ones (but I know some people find that disgusting...)
and the fresh ones that come in those bottle that look like regular milk, those are really good.. that brand in the box container have many chemical for flavor.. even the sugarless one
yeah if you're lactose intolerant. lol. drink milk, everything in yoru body comes out. that makes you lose weight alright.
Depends on where you live... I can get FRESHLY made soy milk in my town, but if one has to buy carton'd ones, I still go for the sugarless ones since I don't like drinks in plastic containers... -unsure Not every lactose-intolerant person has diarrhea as their allergic reaction, some people just have their esophagus swollen up =_=b
And you can put that on the <Drinkin warm water VS Drinkin cold water after meal> thread: http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16690
