If you are referring to the Bible, by any chance ... I don't think they have verses in there separating the Catholics from so-called 'true Christians'... That would be segregation, and God doesn't like that.. After all, everyone who believes in Jesus Christ are deemed 'saved' , no?

hehe no, Christianity started when Jesus was walking the earth. Trying to go back to the original question: @ MG: Really, how would you know which girl would be your future wife if you don't get to know her first, i.e. dating her first? I mean, you can date without having sex (for the prudish) so what's the problem with dating? Would you just randomly pick a christian female friend and let her fill in a form with christian questions to see whether she's christian enough for you and thus suitable as a wife for you? Even if she looks fugly, have nasty habits like picking her nose in the public and is very demanding and dominating you?
What's worse is that the woman might think of not-properly-dressed bearded men that are unproven to exist more than her own husband.
with God all things are possible. i would see how she lives her Christian life, her general beliefs and attitude. i know plenty girls very well and i dont need to go out with them to do so. maybe you do... thats prolly an issue you will have to deal with, thank God its not an issue i have to deal with
