Sammul Chan Receives Lymph Node Surgery Caption: Sammul Chan received lymph node surgery to prevent the growth from becoming malignant. At an earlier function for "On the First Beat," 《學警出更》, Sammul Chan Kin Fung's mouth and entire face were swollen. He even wore a wig. Sammul did not clearly explain the reason for his swollen appearance. After the media pressed further, Sammul admitted that he received lymph node surgery at the hospital last week. At a physical examination earlier, Sammul's doctor pointed out there were enlargened lymph nodes on the top of his head. If they were not removed early, the growth may become malignant. Sammul continued, "I was quite frightened at first. Since my mother is a nurse, we are quite sensitive regarding medical issues. Since Father's Day was approaching, I did not want to worry my father. That was the reason I did not publicize the surgery." Sammul will be filming TVB series, "The 4 Great Constables" in July. In October, he will be working in China. Thus, Sammul seized his current break to undergo the lymph node surgery. Since Sammul had to take antibiotics for the surgery, this resulted in his swollen appearance. Sammul had an allergic reaction to the intitial dose of antibiotics, but felt better after his doctor changed the prescription. Due to the surgery on his head, Sammul had to wear a wig earlier. As his doctor gave him a scar removal cream, Sammul is unconcerned about a lasting scar.
hmmm...that explains the wig...haha... but you hardly get malignant nodes, unless they're secondaries from some other part of the body...hmmm, puzzling.
