just got them removed yesterday afternoon >< can't feel the pain yet cos i can still feel the local anaesthetic mouth's still numb =( just annoying that the general anaesthetic has such a stupid side effect argh... lasts sooo long well end of whinge for now >< lol
LOL, did you have all 4 of them removed at once??? I had to go thru 2 extractions... :( Hope you feel better -^_^
^ It doesn't really matter in fact, I just got them extracted because they are pushing my molars... If I let it remain there, they may crush or damage my molar in the long run... :(
Yup... well technically no. Because I do get the pain sometimes, not constantly of course, but it's like the throbbing pain for no apparent reason... Sucked beyond all belief... So I decided to get them out since the extraction is covered in my medical plan
well mine weren't exactly "hurting" its like on an off it was like b4 i got my braces (year 10 ie hmmph 8 year ago?) they said i shold get wisdom teeth out even tho they weren't exactly out i said nah... dun like needles braces came off orthodontist says get them out i said i'll see years later.... nope lol then last week, dentist says best to get it out... its gonna annoy u soon then called up to book, and few days later hospital surgery to get all 4 out =( it doesn't really matter how "old" you are wen they arrive if it doesn't hurt, then ur lucky =) dun haf to go thru pain of cutting gums and taking them out =( my bday tmr and i didn't even get my wisdom teeth back =( >< not impresed... dont' even get to eat anything for bday suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx oh yeah gues wat annoyed me most was it was afternoon (late afternoon) surgery so went to sleep sunday nite wake up, was hungry, but had to fast until surgery so no food all day >< then after surgery want to eat, can't eat =( *sigh* i guess its probably better to get them out separately at times cos atleast u can eat with one side of ur mouth!!!
it depends on the person...the earlier the better I think. at least u didn;t get headaches...sometimes the wisdom pushes the molar gives the person a headache...like it happen to me da dentist put a foot a my chest to pull out the wisdom...
WHAT?! They took your wisdom teeth??? -shock I wasn't exactly nagged by my orthodontist nor my dentist... just that I may as well use up the plan quota for dentist procedures Plus, I know it's bound to hurt soon... And no point to destroy my beautiful teeth (after suffering through braces and such) Are you taking the antibiotics??? I got so freaked about it I constantly rinse my mourth with mouthwash... and regular antibiotics... But many happy returns of the day It's tomorrow as in the 5th?
I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time 2 yrs ago. There was a lot of pain but it was bearable.
You have to fast??? My dentist told me to have a huge breakfast, then clean my teeth, before I go to the clinic @_@bbb I guess different practice... No headaches, just the effing pain once in a while... So did your wisdom teeth got cut in tinier pieces in order to be extracted??? How many "feets" or "legs" did your wisdom teeth had??? I remember my dentist cut one of the teeth into like 4 or 5 pieces (it's beyond me how they can cut such tiny thing into even tinier pieces), and it got like 4 gnarly legs... Kind of freaky I just had it done this past year... Wasn't THAT painful if you ask me, though the amount of blood was kind of scary... @reno: Did you get stitches?
cos i had to go under general anaesthetic at hospital so had to fast clinic don't have to, cos its just local anaesthetic i asked for wisdom teeth back but due to new hospital legislations, its not allowed due to transmissible diseases/body parts not allowed to leave... blah blah blah =( i got my canines at home tho! wanted to put them together as one big family >< today's 5th tmr = 6 = bday >< not a great way to celebrate =( i tried salt water rinse didn't hurt or sting but wen spitting out saliva, theres blood >< and the local anaesthetic still hasn't gone away, cos bottom half of mouth is still numb, i guess they did quite a few shots in there, cos they had to cut open gums =/ or so i was told neway.... yeah theres stitches just can't feel it, cos tongue is still numb lol dunno how many... tho they're meant to be dissolvable... and they better dissolve!!! i dun wanna go back to clinic to get htem removed!!!!!!!!!!!
You can eat sponge cake or congee slowly. It still hurts a bit but at least you get something to your stomach.
He broke it into pieces but never showed it to me. There was only one tooth that was intact.. was in pain for 2 weeks but knowing it is not there makes me feel better. They didnt give it back...o yea. got to watch it when u eat rice the first few weeks after the stitches comes off. The rice goes into the little cavity where the tooth was and stays there until the gums somehow pushes it out. quite annoying
That totally sucks... Though I believe you will go through less number of needles for general anaesthetic... I got like 5 needles each time I had the op, and like 10 plus for my canines (though I still blame it on the girly femae orthodontist) LOL, I have all of my wisdom teeth, but I think only got 2 of my canines back, beats me to know WHY 2... Don't spit too hard, I know it will look disgusting, but kind of let it run out of your mouth is the best way, coz spitting strain on the stitches and wound = more blood @_@bbb Lucky that you got that type, I had to return to the clinic to get mine removed... It would have been cool if they have the dissolvable type...
yeah i remember that wen i had holes from my canines i didn't haf stitches for them i can feel the pain now..... >< local anaesthetic is kinda wearing off starting to get some feeling back atleast its easier for me to take them damn antibiotics and pain killers so hard last nite wen i couldn't even feel my mouth lol i was poking my bottom lip and i was like, is this something else or my lip... lol
I ate quite regular the entire way, just slower than my usual superhuman speed in consuming food But then again, I got one side of my jaw intact for careful chewing... I guess having only 1 op really does suck... I ate pretty regularly after 2 days as the bleeding stopped... LOL, I got warned by my friend, so I ate a lot of pasta or noodle type of thing... Plus congee of course... I didn't do anything in particular for the canine extraction, pretty much ate regularly the same night, no stitches, no cautious eating...
i still got all 4 of my wisdom teeth and i'm 23. when i was younger my dentist shaved my teeth so when time for the wisdom teeth to come out, they come out straight.
