When i try converting this RMVB file to DVD in WinAVi i keep getting this error called "Unable to the Source File" i can convert other RMVB files with no problem.. the file is "The Brink of Law" thankyou.
Are there any chinese characters on the file or the folder it's in etc? If there are you can't convert it with WinAvi... well that's what happens to mine.
^yep absolutely right the file itelf and the folders it is in cannot have any chinese chars in them, only english rename the files and folders and it will work
just right click on the folder it is in and click rename, make sure all the chinese characters are deleted and replace them with english if nessecary. Rename the file in the same way - right click the file - rename
Yeah, same happened to me and I have to rename folder and filenames. I think virturdub requires the same.
here ya go, like people said you right click the folder and this menu should appear and click on rename then call it something else
hehe you even created a new folder just to make this pic XD cant use any other icons you have on your desktop? bbear is mysterioussssss
I think there is a way to make it work without renaming the files as long as you have the chinese language pack and alter a few windows settings. Prob is some programs start to display in random chinese, so its not really a viable solution if you really want to, although i warn only to do it if you know what ur doing!!!! control panel>>regional and language options>>advanced under language for non-unicode programs choose chinese (HK) This did allow me to burn an audio cd with chinese characters with Nero 6, without renaming the files and not displaying any source errors
does anyone know how come some of the dvd-rmvb files can not be coverted? I'm using a program call Total Vido convertor. almost every seires, two or more episoded either say can't not be render, or when u convert, the audio is mess up, or a portion of the episodes is missing. Any one know why this happens?
I am currently using WinAVI to convert rmvb files to dvd. However, there are some files that do not entirely get converted--it does not finish completely. For example, the rmvb file is 45 mins but WinAVI would only convert 42 mins of the file and gives me the message that it finished successfully. Any anyone know why it's doing this and how it can be corrected?
