There IS a higher being but it is impartial to us lowly humans. Laws (in the discipline of physics) are made not to challenge us but to limit the world. We are a glitch in the grand scheme: we are like a virus, we proliferate and exhaust everything; but we also seek truth, we discover laws and rules of the world (again, of physic)- this wrong may make everything right by destroying it all. Amen.

  4. I'm a Christian and i'm proud of it. Why? cos my God is an AWESOME GOD! =)

  5. many people say this but it aint true, what matters is that you know Jesus and you have him as your lord and savior. you can be as good as you want but its not enough, we fall short of God, our deeds are as dirty rags but we can still approach Gods throne through Jesus not deeds. sounds strange but people seem to separate God and religion,

  6. imagine if satan existed and he wanted you to think like this.... just a glitch you say. our creation is outlined in the bible which im sure youve read but you seem to have dismissed it. you seem sure in what you say, how did you come to this conclusion, did someone tell you you are an insignificant creation and God is some floating force that is unapproachable?

@master_g: Because I am skeptical of such divine presence. Why exactly does God has such humanly attachment to us humans.

I find logical reasons to think such presumptions (made in Bible or whatever scripture of choice) to be made BECAUSE it is easier to convince people to think it is so (that there is a God and it cares and it gives you guidance etc) If God has been God and as mighty as it was recorded to be, the coincidence that he took after many mythical figures need a whole lot of explanations.

I don't think rising from evolution make human beings any less significant and dismissible than "divinely made" because along the way (with genetic mutation and such), many species did not make it into a stable population and extincted. It is just as much an amazement that us human are here and now and alive today as by any other theory. You know that we could have been wiped out by the Black Plague? We didn't not because we are blessed by God, but because the virus is only so virulent in killing fast and hard.

It is a matter of how you attribute a result, you can consider it divine intervention, I call for my rational cause and consequence module (IMO).

  9. its quite a shame that you dont even know the value of 1 human being in Gods eyes, to God you (yes you, a sceptic) are more valuable than the entire world (the world, not the people, who are all equal). its a shame.

were the ONLY creation that is honoured with becoming sons of God, becoming part of the family of God. Not even angels can receive that blessing. but people seem to put themselves on the level of animals, were not animals, were supposed to be stewards of all animals. as i said before, its a shame.

Well, I don't see any particular reason to see why I should see people to be superior than animals. Animals have instincts while humans are blind (in that sense), so if you ask me, humans are not that blessed afterall.

I guess again, it's a matter of opinion. It's always good to hold yourself higher than other beings. But I remain skeptical and doubt anything would change that.

Don't ask questions, you have to believe in the power of the Force, otherwise bad things will happen to you.

This is so true. He is constantly there waiting for us and even when we turn our backs on Him, He never turned His to us. He always provides the best.

There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no chaos; there is harmony.
There is no death; there is the Force

I am a satanist... look out at the world and try to find more good things then bad things. the bad stuff wins 10 to 1. Assuming god = good and satan = bad, im afraid that sheer logic dictates the satan has more power then god. therefore Satan FTW.
