Thursday March 29, 2007 Hong Kong Michael Tao's wife: Sonija Kwok is the reason for our divorce After 6 1/2 years of marriage, Michael Tao and wife Wong Wai Bo are getting divorced. In "The Academy 2", Michael and Sonjia play husband and wife, and rumors have come about that these two have spent quality time together. Sonija have had endless rumors that have brought about nicknames such as "Queen of Rumors" and "Electric Eyes Queen." After dating for 11 years, Michael Tao and Wong Wai Bo got married, and hoped that it would last. 6 1/2 years later, the two are getting a divorce. In an interview with Ming Pao Magazine, Wong Wai Bo cites Sonija Kwok as the 3rd party in their relationship and the reason for their divorce. She openly says Sonija won't give up until she gets Michael; therefore, she is letting her have him. She also says that she isn't angry with Michael because both Michael and herself are victims, since their marriage is ruined due to a woman with many rumors. Michael Tao was asked regarding his divorce and Sonija as the 3rd party, and admits to getting a divorce and being unhappy, but it has nothing to do with anyone else since it is a family matter, and feels bad that Sonija got involved in the rumors. He also states he doesn't understand why his ex-wife would say Sonija is involved in their divorce, and maybe different versions from one person to the next created the wrong news. Michael further states that the divorce happened 2-3 weeks ago and the two grown adults talked it through and made their decision, and there were no hard feelings. He states that there is absolutely no 3rd party involved and Sonija is not a 3rd party. When asked why his ex-wife would say Sonija is the 3rd party, Michael says he will explain to this ex-wife again, but he cannot guarantee that she will believe him. He says he will personally call Sonija to apologize for 'getting' her involved. Michael was then asked, why was it that they filmed last year, but rumors of him and Sonija are surfacing now. Michael says, "EXACTLY! She is a good co-worker." (Are you guys close [due to working together]?) "I am close with everyone. I get to know everyone that I work with, that's my personality. I think its true. I've seen Michael Tao doing an interview about why he was seen leaving sonja's place and he said his car was parked there.... and he didnt even know she lived there. He was rather nervous and kept stumbling on his words. So I think there is something up. Anywho, if a marriage is not going to work better end it earlier than later, in this case its much later
i am just happy that michael and his wife don't have children, or else it would be really bad for the kids when their parents have a divorce (someone correct me if they do have kids, but i don't think they do)
