Anyone here invest in Forex or stock market? USD dropped, stock market index went up 100+++ points for 2 continuous days ... any good thoughts about what's going on?
no. doesn't mean thoughts that cannot be shared. meant thoughts about what's going on? what will happen in the near future? educated thoughts. hehe ... don't mind insider info though as long as i do not end up like Martha.

I don't invest in stocks but my dad does, so I could shed some light. A stock is basically some certificate that shows that you own a small fraction of a corporation (i.e. Starbucks, Google, Target are all corporations). When you buy a stock, you are paying for a small percentage of everything that that company owns (i.e. gadgets, chairs, computers, etc.) When you own a stock, you are referred to as a shareholder or a stockholder. So bascially, a stock is a representation of the amount of a company that you own. The benefit of owning stock in a corporation is that whenever the corporation profits, you profit as well. For example, if you buy stock in Starbucks, and they come out with a new coffee that everyone buys, then the company will profit, and so will you. If a corp. doesn't profit, then you lose money depending on how many shares you bought under that corp. There's more to it than that, but I think that's enough for you to get an idea of how it works.
Depends on your level in the organization/ I think anywhere from director and up might force you to "file" with the securities act. i.e. tell them in advance buy and sell. I'm not familar with forex. What do they do? what is the share price? EPS, CAP, symbol etc. etc. ( I'm too lazy to do the research)

EPS - earnings per share. symbols are used to identify stocks that you want to purchase or sell ... for example MSFT is Microsoft. FOREX ... trading currency haha .. short it huh? expecting the mrkt to drop? me tooo. the rise is just too sudden and too much
Oh. Communication break down I thought forex was a company... I'm into stocks as well. Being holding on to BCE b4 the rumors...got it at 26 or so. Now it is trading at 39 or so Looking at AMD, but last quarter report suked...trying to find the pivot point... short? Maybe for Dell. They are under major change and HPQ kicking there butts...if I have to short
hahaha stocks ? im a day trader that mess wit paper stocks ...... stock tips..? umm mgrm, amrn, aob, play at your own risk.... keep in mine i play reallly short term.... so if u dont have time to watch like every 15 min throughout market hours...... i would advice to preceed wit caution.... but hay... a good forum to learn from is hotstockmarket.com as for their market advice... i wouldn't listen to it..... most of their advice is for penny stock n i think ppl just pump n dump on that site... but hay sometimes they have good leads... in the end u gotta do ur own hw..... everyone deserves one good stock tip... your welcome... oh yeah aob was up the prior two days started to go down though... might keep going up.... up to ur own judgement
