I've heard that contact lenses are bad for eyes!-boat But I'm not sure. Green or Red or Blue contact lenses are cool! But I got black eyes so we can't see very much color :( It isn't so difficult to wear glasses, but without glasses i look so strange ^^
well they can't be completely good since you're put them on taking them off all the time with your fingers.. I dunno bout the color lenses... if you don't need it.. can't see the reason to have an extra thing infront of your eyes.. jus don't do that Lasik stuff unless you have really bad vision..
Well, it's not BAD for your eyes, unless you happen to be one of those super clumpsy and unkempt person -- afterall, a contact NEEDS to be cleaned, and better not slept with on -- otherwise it's not particularly bad. Of course, getting infections is always a risk -- but we run the risk of getting infections EVERYWHERE so it's not a top concern to me at the very least. But again, why do you want to put a piece of plastic in front of your eyes when it's not absolutely necessary?
i heard somewhere (can't remember from whom) that it's bad for your eyes if you change to glasses at night and wear contacts during the day (which most ppl do). it's suppose to make your eyes worst and increase the degrees. i just dont wear contacts because i don't find poking my eyes every morning to be good ... coz most mornings i'm late and half asleep.
Well, that has some truth in it, since the focus for contact and glasses are definitely different, thus changing from contact to glasses and vice versa regularly may lead to worsening of vision. But heck, I wish I have a choice in the matter -- glasses is not the best during winter :(
u may think im mean or cold hearted or hating...but i think some girls look better without glasees meaning wearign contacts...who am i kidding..i mean the MAJORITY of the girls
yeah i agree. it depends on how well u clean them etc. wearing disposable contacts would definitely work better if ur a newbie with contacts. and yeah ur not supposed to sleep with it on..and i heard that excessive eye make up could lead an eye infection.
lol same here, always need to hurry up xD and no time to eat >.< Most of the people wear glasses if they watch a movie or play PC ^^ yea, I hate it too wearing glasses during winter, if ur walking outside then u take a bus or train ur glasses will become white and u can't see anything -cool2 Same here lol ^^ But some girls look intelligent with glasses -rolleyes Easy to say but hard to do -down Thank for ur help everyone -lol
Over time, contacts will reshape your corneas and will slowly improve your vision. This is essentially what Lasik is all about; you take a laser and reshape your corneas.
the coloured ones tho, some of my friends stopped wearing them because they said they were allergic to them and irritated their eyes, dunno if that is common tho
yup, they've pretty much hit the points there have people been people to go blind by wearing contacts or had severe eye damage but it all falls down to hygine it's asking the same question, is it safe to eat with your fingers? well do you go and touch the ground alot? do you wipe your ass and not wash your hands? it's all cleaniness if you keep up with it than your fine contact solution is a disinfectiant and dont start messing with your contacts without washing your hands
This is only true to those old-school HARD LENS, which in fact are tiny pieces of very thin glass (thus able to reshape your cornea). However, most common contact lenses now are all soft lens which includes all disposible (since hard lens are expensive), colour contacts and most permenant ones. Note that the catch to "reshaping your cornea" is that one is more porne to catarat -- I forgot why, but it's statistically shown by studies. Well, the thing is, if one's not careful with contacts, wear them for long time and while tired and with dry eyes, one DO grow allergic to the contacts (to which symptoms includes red eyes and irritation and rashes etc). However, proper hygiene and using saline with peroxide helps reduce the chance of allergy, and of course, reduced use.
just make sure u clean em properly and dont put them in ur eye for too long i've been wearing contacts for a while...and i wouldnt wanna go back to wearing glasses
Contact Lens r nice to look but it's best to reduce the usage of it, in order to provide oxygen for the eyes.
