For the girls, I was just wondering what brand and type do you think or find the best? Also, what brand/type do you recommend for first time users.
Use Tampax. Since it's your first time....when inserting, make sure the tampon is not broken or out of the tube. Make sure the tube is fully extended, and with the string hanging out of the tube. Put your middle finger and thumb on the ring of the tampon in the middle, put the tampon inside you up to the middle where your middle/index fingers are, push all the way in with your index finger where the string hangs out (aim at about 45 degrees). It might be easier for you to squat, than to stand with one leg up. RELAX too....if you are too tense it won't go in. Once in, you should not be able to feel it if it's in right.
^ have you actually tried using tamponds if you dont mind me asking? becuase i havent but all my friends keep telling me how much convenient they are
I have, and it is very convenient and much cleaner. But the thing is that there are bacterial infections/toxic shock syndrome associated with the use of tampons, and I prefer not to risk dealing with those. >< I prefer pads because I'm already used to them and they're much more safe. It's really a matter of preference. Half my friends uses tampons while the other half uses pads. I say use whatever you feel most comfortable with and whatever works best for you.
Is this Just For Girls ? hauhau ... cause if it is then ... i am the Only Guy Here.. but at least i learn something huahuah.. so next time my girl ask me to buy TAMPOONS ... i KNOW WHICH one IS THE BEST .... hauhau
I prefer pads, but if you have to try using tampon the first time, start small, use Tampax Pearl, or Tampax Teens. Pearl have plastic tubes (not environmental friendly, I know, but our comfort comes first!) so it's really easy to insert. You may have to try a few times to have a proper/perfect fit, since if the fit is not good, it will be extremely painful (for the lack of a better word). And be sure to change the tampon at least 4 times a day, never have the same tampon for more than 6hrs. I know most instructions says 3 times and 8hrs, but I like to be on the safe side.
That's what I use, but were starting a swimming unit in P.E. and I will most likely get my period considering my luck. I thought they discontinued Tampax Teen ..
They did? I thought I still see it around... I guess coz I have those combo pack with teen, reg and max (all 3 types~)
try not to use tampons during the first few days as its the heaviest flow period. It's best to use the lowest absorbency needed as anything higher than ur needs isn't necessary and will lead u to more easily get the toxic syndrome [thing.] also tampons will definitely leak faster than pads, so if ur gonna use it during heavy flow period..expect to change ur tampon VERY often.
i'm sorry, i just died laughing reading this stuff cause all i can think of all the guys in PA that are reading this EXTREMELY fasinated or completely grossed out
and theres the difference between me and you as i loved using it as an excuse to not have to swim, i hate swimming -lol
I only use it for the first few days... since I believe it helps to shorten my period (which is probably just superstition)
Nope. you are not the only guy. I got lost ... Sorry ladies if this was meant for Girls only. I do however find it really interesting ... the instructions were descriptive and the pic ... wow ... hehe ...
the tss is actually very rare and you're not a high risk if you use the lowest absorbancy according to how heavy ur period is and make sure u dont' use it for more than 8hrs i switch from pads and tampons. I wasn't that sure about tampons before but they're waayy easier to use an less messy... that's my opinion hope it helps =)
