I have this job, it's okay, but lately I've been thinking of turning in my resignation, well here's the situation:

    1. Its over 36 miles round trip, which a lot of mileage, especially when I have to drive on a major highway to get to there and back. There is literally no other way to get to work from where I live, but to drive on this highway and the traffic is very bad.

    2. I have been working there for almost a year and I haven't gotten not even one raise. After the first 3 months, I was to get a raise, but never got one.

    3. My time badge!!! >.< This has been sooo irritating. Two weeks ago, I had to order a new badge, so for 1 whole week, I had to knock down the door to get in. So finally after a week, I get my badge.. Unfortunately the IT guys and the human resources woman, didn't program my badge to let me in at 7am, which is when I am to clock in and start my work, so here I am, banging down the door, and getting late to start work because of all this, which goes against my record. I was soo upset, I had an email "battle" with the human resources woman because of it and she promised that my badge would start working later that day; so here I come the next morning, last Friday. It worked! Then today, Monday, it's back to the same garbage, of it not working.. I am sooo fed up, my mum said that I should send in my letter of resignation and I don't mind doing so at all, I know I can get a better job elsewhere. But what would you do if you were in my situation??

Do you think I'm over reacting?

***Update*** lol just to save you the trouble of replying to this, I already quit. Thank you!

    is the money good?
    is there career progression?
    is the environment good?
    are the people nice?
are you learning new things (for the next job)?
ar you free to come and go as you please? (guess not :)
    how are the benefits?
    Is it easy money?

I would attach a percentage to these factors do some sort of calculations...

    do u need the cash?
if ur not happy at work, not worth it staying there. but as the first question, if there is a need for the money, then ya gota put up with the shit.

If I were you, I would either start hunting for a new job, then once I GOT a new job, resign; or, I would stick to it for a year (minimum for most reference stuff), then switch.
However, besides the mileage, I would say the rest of the problem you recount were not that bad. Unless of course, the entire department got a raise except for you (if no one else got a raise, you may inquire about the "differences" of your job in detail after probation, since I vaguely remember most company give a raise after probation.) I would disregard the badge issue altogether, since when I started working last, I never got the key until 3rd week, then the key was messed up, then the lock was changed, all that jazz. Human error, you know.
But in short: never resign without a new job waiting for you, unless your boss harass you.

If it was me, I would ask myself if i'm happy there or at least i'm not sad when i'm working there. If you're not happy there, it's not worth it.

Money can be a issue, but you can still get a different job to get money, but to me, the most important thing is whether or not you want to go to work everyday.

Yea.. I know. That's what my mother always says and I agree, but sometimes the whole situation gets so bothersome, I don't want to deal with it.. lol my boss errr..Honestly, some of the things he says does bother me, but I know that he's mostly kidding, so I ignore him most of the times.

I tried to force myself to like my job..but I can't. sometimes I feel as though I can make it through to a year, but other times I'm ready to walk out and not come back.
