Try uh... eating food. And not exercising. I mean, this thread is about exercising, but you want to gain weight?

I assume you don't want 15 pounds of muscle.

That's impossible. Fat is added and removed in layers. You can't selectively add or burn fat.

Fact is, if you're going to get fatter, you're going to get fatter everywhere. What you're thinking of is genetic disposition to store fat, which varies by birth (and cannot be changed). For example, guys tend to store fat in their belly, whereas girls tend to store fat around the hips and breasts. Of course, different girls have different capacities to store fat in certain areas while keeping other areas lean.

If you still want to gain weight, I suggest that before you go to sleep every night, you need a fairly large meal. Your metabolism slows down when you're sleeping, so those calories will not be burned and you will gain weight as a result.

Never. The advice they give is worthless to me, as I don't fit that profile.

All information I give and adhere to is strictly from my studies in biology and physiology.

  10. Uff workin' out that body.. get a tongue ring and work this _____ lol ahahahaa -lol

To each his own, I suppose.

Personally, I have to manage bodybuilding and strength building.
The primary purpose of my exercise is to build strength and flexibility, as I am an active muay thai practitioner.
Bodybuilding is secondary, largely because I'm interested in improving my body. The visuals are secondary, since I've already got a girlfriend, and she actually doesn't want me to get too big.

yea, u're right. since my fats are distributed to my stomach region MUCH more than the other parts of my body, i'm having a hard time cuz i wana LOSE the fat in my stomach but GAIN the rest of my body.. and that is not likely to happen any time soon if i decide to put on some 'weight'.

and doesn't sleeping right after eating make ur stomach fat? damn, i guess there's no winning for me, is there? :(

thanks for the tips, though! i appreciate it. :)

Well remember, it'll make your entire body fat, not just your stomach. Although if you have a genetic disposition to have a fatty stomach, it'll distribute to your stomach more.

Don't try to hard to achieve a perfect figure. Not all guys want that. I know I didn't. I think it's rather nasty, actually. Phony, even.

I currently have no Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training though, and that's required for any mixed martial arts competition. That, and UFC doesn't offer a weight class suited for me.

right, right -worship so that means in order to gain fat on all my other body parts, i need to gain weight in my stomach area as well, and then work my a$$ off to get rid of the belly fat after :(

    beauty is such a f****** pain -cry2

lol! phony? yea, i can understand that part, but nasty? since when did perfect become nasty? :p that doesn't make any sense 2 me. wanna elaborate on that? :D
what do u think of jessica alba's body then?

    stop stalking me, b1tch -worship

hmmm. I say do cardio for 20-30 min and then selected high rep 50-100 abs exercises. like crunches, situps etc. to target that area.

For weight gain, do some weights (low reps- heavy -6 to 8), chest, biceps, back, shouldersm etc.

I;m not quite sure about eating a large meal before sleeping cus it turns to fat...while u sleep

i once read somewhere that for a certain body type, fat gets stored in the stomach region 1st (joy 4 me!). for another, fat goes in the arms and thighs 1st. for another, it goes in the chest first (lucky b1tches <_<).i think those types are called something like reverse triangles, apples, something something like that. hAhah :D

HahAHa yea, i've been doing that for the past 7-8 months! my weight has remained the same from then to now, maybe fluctuating 2-3 lbs. at the most =/
n in case anyone was wondering, i'm standing at 5'7 n weighing @ 102 lbs at the moment :(

so yea, i'm really skinny but u guys would be surprised to know how much fat i got in my stomach -rotfl well, before. i've toned it down luckily -sweat my waist alone b4 could fit into a size 3 jeans, but my legs fit size 0 or 1..it ****ing sucked. but i'm ok now, at least my tummy is getting more proportionate -lol
