hold down the menu button and the middle button at the same time for about like 30 - 40sec maybe less and your screen should go back to normal
Ya I tried that, but it didn't work. The battery eventually died out. But no one has answered my question yet!
11 months seems right for the battery to start going. Its a known fact that after a year the batteries in ipods start to go and the device starts to act up. If it keeps reoccurring then i would say its time to send it back for replacement if its still covered under warranty.
I think your battery died out thats probably why it suddently freezed the screen... this happen to me once, btw I am using a 8GB ipod nano.
ya maybe your battery died. but i don't think that you would be having problems with your ipod video, it's not that old is it? i don't have a ipod anymore, but i think you should just go to an apple store and bug them to fix it.
Yeah When my battery is on the verge of dying somtimes it freezes and takes a while to come back (but does) after i connect it to my comp
