Clearly racist. But see how things change in 50 years . Not only is Japan an economic powerhouse in Asia and the world but even culturally there is a new respect and craze for their culture, language and ofcourse Anime.
Although I have to point out that the Japanese themselves are really very racist. Racism just isn't right but when you are more raicst towards every other race with the exception of whites (don't get me wrong the whites also endure racism in Japan just that they have it easier).
Why are Whites trated like GODS everywhere in the world they are just a race who knows what sort of person is undeneath that skin.

All that rubbish stuff but people believe it!

Yes, that propanganda stuff is pretty basic and crude. May GOD have mercy on those souls who have elementary intelligence to believe in that stuff... all that bigotry stuff I remember seeing an English documentary about British troops in Hong Kong during the WW2. The London army HQ informed their British garrisons to take more precautions during the day than night and more careful about attack from the land than from the sea. Reason given by Whitehall in London during the WW2:-

    continuation of above.......

Japanese soldiers like Chinese people have slit eyes, the law of physics suggests that the slits let in less night therefore they wouldn't see well at night and so would not attack during the night as the white people have bigger eyes and hence their night vision would be far superior and would spot the attack early.

Japanese people are shorter and have shorter limbs therefore they are inferior swimmers and would more likely to sink because their surface area to weight ratio is lower.

The above was remembered by a veteran soldier on what he was told by his superior officers!

And what actually happened ? The Japanese army attacked from the sea at night and took over HK!

    War or not

You are right and not right! Of course in the WW2 there was no such spin words such "friendly fire" and "collateral damage". Basically some soldiers will shoot (and indeed continue to do so, that's why the Americans have now coined the phrase collateral damage) at whatever before asking and before looking and certainly wouldn't be able to tell apart a Japanese or Chinese after reading that comic book! Just ask yourself if you had read such a comic book on how to spot a Nazi from a French civilian how can you tell a French man from a German when you are a soldier with an automatic machine gun with an urge to kill or be killed!

That was a racist book. If you do not know asian faces that well the japanese sometimes look white or have white features.

I don't consider it too racist, in times of war people must do these kind of things. You don't want to be shooting up your "oriental allies" now do you?

But i don't consider this too helpful, I am chinese, and it is pretty hard for me to tell between Japanese and Chinese people. More than that, when i was in Japan, Japanese people couldn't tell i was Chinese. They thought i was just some Japanese American.

I dun consider that racist too. They were just trying to help the soldiers distinguish Chinese and Japanese at a time of war while keeping the whole info light and easy to absorb. Effective or not is not my call.. not familiar with Japanese myself.

    what's wrong?
