Does anyone use any face cleansers that actually work? I have these blackheads for years, I'm wondering if any product can actually get them out. As well, I have these tiny warts, would anything get rid of these? If you came across products that actually work, please let me know your experience with them. Thanks.
I also had similar problems . My advice would be ; - Clensing your face with any of the clensers everynight before going to bed. - Use a toner as well , it will close the pores and prevent further balckheads or pimples. - Scrub your face regularly. - Try using one of those nose strips to remove the black heads once a month at least initially or if yuou need a quick fix. - If you have money to spend you could always get a full facial treatment .
Cetaphil cleanser Oil free moisturizer or anything else you put on your face Buy stuff that says noncomedogenic Ask a dermatologist about Retin-A, Tazorac, Differin
noxzema works koo for me... use once every morning and you're good until your face is oily again haha
Thanks for all the suggestions, but everyone said something different lol. I guess I'll check out all these different ones soon.
If you have blackheads, I would recommend you to go to a spa and get rid of it all first.. and then maintain it with daily facewash... obviously the three steps... cleanse toner moisturize!
OH! in terms of brands... the new beauty line for Evian is really nice. Their cleanser is a purifying cleanser... so it cleans and tones... but i really like shiseido... it's a little more on the pricier side.. but definitely worth its money! makes your face as soft as a baby's butt! lol
i use this oreal mens face cleanser. i dont really know if it works or not, but it smells good, and thats all that matters to me lol not that blackheads dont matter <<<--- see how clean i am?
I was born with crappy skin genetics myself. So, I've had my fair share of issues. However, "blackheads" come from dirt collecting on the top of a pore. So, I would suggest getting a generic "Noxema" face cleanser for use in the morning shower... some of the Foaming face cleaners work well also, but I perfer Noxema style since it doesn't dry my face out so much (Also, make sure to rub it in, pause, rinse, then apply again, pause, rinse) An item you should buy ASAP is a "Skin Tool": http://www.tweezerman.com/index.cfm?page=productdetail&prod=93 Find one, and buy it... its well worth the price and I can't ever see breaking it... Not sure where you live, but Rite-Aids in the US often have them. Also, a facial scrub once a week, plus a mask would be a good idea... Equate has decent generic masks, and "Neutrogena" has a "Blackhead Eliminating™ Daily Scrub" which is good. I would NOT suggest daily - but I am also speaking of my skin. An example routine: AM: During shower 2-3x Noxema, or "Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser" (dries my skin out) After shower, moisturizer (depending on skin might need a toner/ast. though I find multi-Noxema evens the skin out) Before bed: Noxema + moisturizer ___________________________________________ Once or twice a week use the face scrub - some use it more, others even less - all depends on your skin.... Once a week, cleanse use the mask, moisturize. Good Luck! And if you are covered under parents insurance, might look into a Dermatologist... The skin creams failed for me, but the anti-biotics work for most people... though ABs do have side effects.
I was in the similar situation when I was 16 years old. I keep switching different brands of face cleansers, but none of them really worked that well. Then, I just used Herbal Essense bodywash on my face and I been sticking with it 'til now. Just use a small drop (just a water drop) on your face and it should work fine. You should try it, it is working for me. If it doesn't work, then maybe you just have bad genes. Oh, after washing your face, put some lotion on your face to moisturize. I use Curel hand lotion. This sounds unusal but there's no harm trying it.
^if u want something thats not overdrying...use a lil bit of body wash... i have really dry skin in the winter and cleansers just amke it worst, so i use body wash in the mornings and at night i wash my face with any random cleanser. im currently using cetaphil. i think its quite gentle. i used to use neutrogena for sensitive skin. i liked that one the most. and never use an harsh exfoliater if u have dry skin! i used one and my skin was so red and flakey.
DHC cleansing oil and Bioessence Deep exfoliating gel - it's gentle enough to use everyday and scraps away dead skin cells n faults like blackheads. My personal recommendation!
