There was an interesting discussion about supplements for sports and weight lifting, albeit it was inter mixed with some jokes and crude humor. Nonetheless, to further the discussion and to provide meaningful output, this thread was created.

    I‘ll start.

It‘s not uncommon for people to drink a cup of coffee to promote mental alertness before an exam or before they step foot in an office. Documented studies have shown that a cup of coffee will provide this benefit. But what about the side effects of this? Racey heart? Increased blood pressure? Caffeine crash?

Heck, Matthew Delladova while on the Cleveland Cavaliers was quoted as drinking a cup of coffee before basketball games. He also atttributed after effects like fatigue late in the game. It makes sense, considering coffee is a diuretic.

But would you still drink a cup to gain an advantage? Would that be considered cheating? Would it be a conscious dilemna for you? Or would it be an ethics ordeal?

To spin this off further, remember how your mom and grandma telling you to eat more tendon or chicken feet to promote better leg strength? Is this related to glucosamine? Or just a myth?

The same with bird‘s nest. Is the protein really that beneficial? Or is it just marketing and hype due to the cost of it.

Share your stories, position, thoughts, myths, beliefs, etc.

I like to add something that no one mention before. How about athletes looking like zombies on game day because they had too much sex the night earlier. Anyone ever thought of that? ;)

You should read up about boxers or MMA fighters who do not have sex for weeks before a fight. I know you may think it is funny as with many other things, but there is a stigma attached to EVERYTHING I have said.

    What exactly are you saying?

Better believe it ... look at Tiger Woods' game these days; or lack of it.

It's not a claim though. Is that why Carmelo Anthony is in the position that he is in?

Bro, Tiger Woods is golf. Golf ain't a sport, or seen in the same light. You know it. LOL.

Goes back to what I've said. YOU KNOW IT, THOSE WHO FOLLOW KNOW IT.

His hairline is gone and in shambles because of his lifestyle. IF YOU CANNOT CONNECT the dots, then that is YOUR PROBLEM.

Most of the stuff you mention about chicken feet, golden nest(bird swallows), and about the sex before a game will reduce a man's strength are true. Well, at least those are scientifically proven. most of the stuff you can just google and the answers are there, while some are more unapparent unless digging deeper.
