Taiwanese actor Steve Ma (馬景濤) announced on Thursday that he is splitting with his wife of ten years, Wu Jiani (吳佳尼). The couple have already filed for divorce. They have two sons, 8-year-old Shitian and 7-year-old Shixin. Steve and Jiani met on the set of The Legend and the Hero <封神榜> over ten years ago. They tied the knot on February 14, 2007 after about a year of dating. Jiani is 21 years younger than Steve, and also his second wife. Steve’s first wife was Tang Yun (唐韻), who he married in 1990 and divorced three years later. Steve and Tang Yun have one daughter Shiyuan. The 55-year-old actor first announced his divorce via social media. He wrote, “My love, my happiness, [and] my marriage have all reached a perfect end today.” In his statement, he thanked both Jiani and his daughter Shiyuan for their hard work and support in the past ten years. Steve said they have “quietly used their youths to experience the past 10 years with [him]”, and is extremely thankful. He also mentioned that his younger brother Ching-shan, who was sentenced to 19 years for kidnap and ransom, is finally released from prison.
