Ron Ng (吳卓羲) attended a banquet with the cast and crew of TVB’s anniversary drama Lord of Shanghai <梟雄>, which aired its last episode on Sunday, November 29. The former TVB actor revealed that he will not renew his TVB management contract, and has established a personal studio with his manager Chan Ka Lei (陳嘉莉). However, the 36-year-old actor has maintained a good relationship with TVB, and is considering to sign a per-series contract with the station. “Actually, Catherine Tsang (曾勵珍) just asked me if I’m interested in coming back to film more,” shared Ron. “I told her that I’ll think about it next year because my current projects won’t be completed until next year. I do hope to come back as well, so we can maintain a good collaborative relationship. If [Lord of Shanghai] will do a sequel, I will definite come back.” Ron said that he has established a personal studio so he can have more freedom in choosing his projects. Asking if he is targeting the Mainland market as his focus, he said, “Not necessarily. I want to try everything, not just television dramas, but also movies. I’ve been offered scripts from Chinese and Malaysia production studios. Right now, we’re also in talks with doing a Hong Kong movie.” Will Ron be going to the TVB Anniversary Awards this December? Ron said, “No. I don’t have any nominations!” Creds: Oncc
