This may seem very odd to many people, but two American Ex-pats have opened a successful American Chinese restaurant in Shanghai, serving the old classic Americanized versions of Chinese food that Americans are used to. Chinese food in America has been traditionally derided as bastardized versions of "real" Chinese cuisine. Things like Egg Foo Young and Chow Mein are American menu inventions which do not actually exist in China. So when an American wants the "Chinese" food that he had at home, until now, there was no place in China that sold such items.

Enter Fung Lam and Dave Rossi, partners who decided to bring Americanized Chinese food to China.

I saw something about this a while back, it's interesting to see how some Americanized Chinese food are so popular with ABCs'. Some ABCs' that work over there misses those Americanized Chinese food... But local Chinese folks will be like American food.
