Felix Wong (黃日華) was once a fervent critic of TVB’s archaic programming and unfair politics, while advocating for the issuance of HKTV’s free-to-air television broadcasting license. After the government rejected HKTV’s application in October, Felix has noticeably distanced himself from the upstart station in hopes of saving his daughter’s acting career. When more than 120,000 protesters took to the streets to protest the government’s decision and show their support for HKTV, Felix excused himself from the first day of protests due to work commitments. Maggie Cheung (張可頤), Frankie Lam (林文龍), and Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧) led HKTV staff to advocate for HKTV instead. While Felix showed up at ensuing protests, he refused to go on stage and speak with the press. Felix’s unexpected silence since HKTV failure to secure a free-to-air television broadcasting license was due to his concern over his daughter Adrian Wong’s (黃芷晴) career. Last year, Adrian signed with HKTV and filmed a drama with Felix. The drama has not been broadcast due to HKTV’s broadcasting issues. Although Chairman Ricky Wong (王維基) announced broadcasting its dramas on the Internet starting July 2014, Felix allegedly has little confidence in Adrian’s future at HKTV. Both Felix and Adrian were absent at HKTV’s Christmas party. Felix excused himself due to other work commitments while Adrian said she was sick. An insider said, “They didn’t come because they were afraid that TVB wouldn’t like it! Ricky Wong is very disappointed in Felix Wong.” When Adrian’s HKTV management expires at the end of the year, Felix reportedly hopes that she will work for TVB to gain higher exposure. The insider said, “After HKTV failed to obtain its free-to-air television broadcasting license, Eric Tsang (曾志偉) and Michael Miu (苗僑偉) urged Felix Wong to consider his daughter’s [future] and not constantly be against TVB. This will make it easier for Adrian to enter TVB later. Felix is very concerned about his daughter. He thought that HKTV will be unable to turn things around, so he tried to help his daughter [go to another station] immediately.” Creds: ihktv
Yes but Felix is worried about her not even being able to go into tvb. Go into TVB first, get recognition, then leave. TVB's quality might be down, but it's also one of the easier way to get fame. But TVB might force her to sign a long management contract so she can't leave whenever she wants.
also, not to mention his rocky relationship with TVB, even if TVB signs Adrian, they might not use her...either way her career is in jeopardy
Adrian is pretty much a nobody, she has some work at HKTV cause of her father and some other small jobs. I don't even see the point for TVB to sign her to any contract and with Felix ready to go nuts on them if her daughter isn't getting enough shots. Too naught and too much of a trouble scenario. She doesn't even look that great. Having Felix as a dad might help her overall, depends if TVB actually think Felix can help them. But I have never been a fan of Felix, guy just over acts.
she quite good looking...TVB will hire her give her shitty roles to get back at her father lol put her in those rape scenes
