The Maige TV is a satellite box that receives channels from a Hong Kong satellite feed. The channels are mostly from Hong Kong, Taiwan, China. Please provide your opinions, questions, and any new general information about the Maige TV as it comes along.
I cant wait for more people to give feedback regarding the Maige. I will give my 2cents as soon as i received mine.
so far now the price point compare to tvpad is too much. if maige tv doesn't support on demand hk drama not many peoples will try it.
I signed up purely to discuss this box, its being sold in Thailand (and they are setting up Thai servers as our internet international links can be a bottle neck) and it isnt really a 'satellite box'. So far theres not a lot of feedback or english language information. I can say its a pure IPTV box, which the company is feeding streams HD and SD that they probably source from satellite. But the box itself is just IPTV. What I am most interested in finding out is users have mentioned that if your a subscriber you can access on a PC or iPad. In my case I already run a XBMC HTPC and a boxee box, if I can get a legal licensed PC stream I might be able to get it onto the XBMC PC or if it has an iPad app, by the magic of airplay I can probably push the stream from the ipad to the boxee to the TV. Ths way I can just 'subscribe' without the box itself which I do not want. Paying 150 for a year of the channels is fine, paying 500 (the price here) or more for the box )(and one year) isnt. What prices are you paying stateside ??
So your paying just the rmb prices ?? And self shipping importing ?? For those that have one already, do the pc and iPad apps need the box in any way ?? Can the box be off and unconnected ?? I am mostly interested in streaming the HD channels to my htpc, I dont have a need for the stb.

Holy Crap!!!! I didn't know that they came out with the 2nd version already. I was getting ready to buying the first Maige. I see that the new Maige is wireless now....pretty cool addition.
To kart_man_21 or any Maige owners: Have any of you figure out how to pay for the annual subscriptions yet?
Hi Hawai, I just made a wiretransfer, took one and a half week, but that works fine. That is also how I purchased the box, as they did not ship directly to my country...so.. I contacted the seller directly by mail/chat.
its still not clear ?? how are we suppose to get renew our 1 Year Subscription ??? for international users .....
