一直致力提高香港音樂水準的香港作曲家及作詞家協會(CASH)，再度與電視廣播有限公司及香港電台第二台合作，舉辦《第24屆CASH流行曲創作大賽》。一個推動本地音樂人創作屬於香港的廣東歌曲比賽，經過評審委員會評選後，10首入選決賽的作品已經誕生。
