I just registered a Flickr account.

    I'm using my new camera.

    Seahorse.
I used Background Defocus, which acts like a dslr. Sony's new feature.
Looks a bit smudgy at the edges of the seahorse.

I think I got it. I just drag and drop from Flickr.

My old camera is Canon PowerShot SD800 IS Digital ELPH.
My new camera is Sony WX7. (Someone told me to get this on my other thread in this section). It's cooooooool.

    I can't afford a dslr. =(

i have that Canon in the past too :) mom is using that one now LOL
    dslr gives one more options to manipulate the photos and be creative;
don't think is that expensive when they go on sale when new models come out, $500 for a body & kit lens (that will last you 3-5 yrs, factor that out, is about what you are getting now pretty much) XD

does your sony have manual settings? if so you can probably get same result when manual focus to the seahorse and use a lower F-stop number

Not sure what F-stop is. I see that the lower the F-stop, the larger the diameter the image takes (from wikipedia).
    My F-stop is 2.6-6.3. I don't think I can set it. That seahorse used 2.6 .

I think my camera uses macro focus on objects that are 5cm away.
When I use Background defocus, it says it can do background defocus on objects 30cm away. If nothing within 30cm is detected, it says background defocus is not used.

F-stop is aperture settings. I'm not sure if that Sony camera has it or not, but it should have it in manual mode or "A" mode.

These are my night shot pictures:

    A musical play:

I lowered the exposure to -2 because the stage was too bright.
