After filming War and Beauty 2 <金枝慾孽 2> and experiencing a falling out with TVB, Sheren Tang (鄧萃雯) has stayed out of the public eye and was rumored to be suffering from an autoimmune disorder and lymphatic issues. Accepting an interview recently, Sheren appeared to be much less bloated and in a happier mood. Sheren admitted that she experienced one of the most difficult times of her life in 1998. She recalled, “After filming I Have a Date with Spring <我和春天有個約會> in 1996, I bought a house. I was earning a lot of money at the time. Because everything came so easily, I spent carelessly. I bought luxury mansions and stocks. At the time, I did not think about investing in real estate. I merely wanted a place to call home. I did not think that I would experience financial turmoil. My stock values fell and my properties were foreclosed by the bank. During that time, I kept asking myself, why do hardworking people have such tragic ends?” At her most depressed time, Sheren began to lean on her faith, developing a whole new outlook on fame, fortune, and relationships. Currently 50 years old, Sheren does not intend on getting cosmetic enhancements and instead embraces the wrinkles of age. “Outer appearance is meaningless. Everyone has their unique personalities. If you reject what your parents and God gave you, then it will be difficult to continue living on.” She thoughtfully shared, “I realized that as women get older, they develop a different kind of charm. We shouldn’t run away from ourselves. There are good things, and there are bad things. If you have a lot more wrinkles, then don’t stay up too late. You also have to pay more attention to your exercise and diet. The most important thing is to learn to love yourself.” Creds: Eastweek
Happy for her and that she's not doing any of that plastic surgery stuff! Haven't seen her in a TVB show in a while hope she makes a come back.
She still looks great for her age, She should do a like a reunion drama series with the other 3 flowers from "I have a date with spring" !!!
