Lee, leading man Blue Lan, lead actress Nikki Hsieh, Tai Pao, Ni Tzu-chun and Yeh Tien-lun made their appearance at the cinema house to boost morale. The debut had attracted high attention, and some of Taiwan’s famed filmmakers showed up to provide support. They include Night Market Hero cast, director Wang Shaudi, director Kevin Chu, director Cheng Yu-chieh, actress Lin Chen-hsi, singer Nick Chou and Jeff Huang. Famed model Bianca Bai, undaunted over rumors about her and Blue Lan’s relationship, dressed in eye-catching backless dress and created a buzz when she appeared at the premiere. Blue Lan, who co-produced the film, told the media he felt the pressure of Spin Kid debut, saying it was much easier to be a star than a producer.
