The film opens with Prince Kuang-yi and his henchmen ravishing a beautiful peasant girl. A local artist manages to capture the shameful incident and soon the picture finds itself in the hands of the king, who promptly chastises his errant son. The king, however, is not the only one angry at the prince. Prince Te Chao ( Max Mok Siu-chung), along with a small cabal of other similarly minded people, have recruited the aid of ace assassin Li Lang in order to get rid of Kuang-yi. As part of an elaborate scheme designed to frame Kuang-yi, Te stages his own death while hiding up in the Tiger Mountains along with Li and his disciples. Unfortunately, Te is drugged and kidnapped by Kuang-yi's henchmen. While Li manages to save the prince, the drugs used gives Te permanent brain damage.
