Third Lam kicks the habit, but gets a teenage girl named May (May Lo) pregnant and then ends up accidentally assaulting a police officer, landing himself and Sas in jail once more. The pair do a six-year stint, then borrow some money from a loan shark and set themselves up as pimps. They can't get the money to pay back the usurious loan shark, so are given the option of being beaten to death or stealing some ransom money paid for a child whom the man kidnapped.
