In the end, Chung´s girlfriend, Ming (Betty Mak) is killed. Kong is relentless and tries to kill Chung, but he kills his mother by mistake. Chung sues Kong with the help from prosecutor Lam (Money Chan), but Kong still manages to get away. Chung then joins the force and becomes an inspector. He comes to know Hong (Ray Lui) and becomes friends. However, Hong changes later and frames Chung´s wife, Ling (Wing Lam), for murdering Shui (Madalena Chan). Then all of a sudden, Ling falls down a cliff and dies. Chung swears to avenge for her.
