I don't think they arrest people who download them. I think its just the uploaders they arrest. Thats what I heard from my cousin. If they arrest the downloaders, than its probably a large percentage of our population.
I downloading TVB stuffs just for my mom to watch. In my opinion I don't think I did anything against the law because I did not sell the copy or rent out the copy to earn money. It is just only for personal use. And if it against the law why did so many Asian Web Site out there for people to download TVB series. So if they want to arrest I guess they have to track them down first are they.

no because on the torrent u are also uploading while downloading usually what you think not illegal are illegal already, like if u bought a music CD and u ripped them to put them on your mp3 player, that is against the law already because you only paid single license on the items but that does not extend to extra copies even thou you paid for it and is now yours...this has been discussed widely in one of the HK show... u went against the law in downloading the content ppl uploaded...if someone uploads things, doesn't mean u have to download them, and when you download them, that means you are supporting them...in regards to you why many asian sites have them there, usually you have to be registered or have reach a certain limit post in order to see the hidden content...and for that reason people or those organizations often has their own servers to host these things and it really depends on how bad luck you are...
Megaupload have increase the limiting again so either you turn of your modem or pc and restart it to DL and mediafire files is deleted very fast so seperating the parts into 3 is harder to Dl then Dl the whole episode.
try to get peer guardian and load the program before downloading stuff with bit. Ps thx cat for sharing

i agree, sendspace can be a real pain when youre trying to download. i prefer using filefront and megaupload, filesend and mediafire.
