i personally think it is because most of the time, the place where you download dramas (like Mainland websites) always provide torrent based file for people to download it. It's fast to download, but it takes a long time to seed it....that's why i hate about torrent lol.

it's because people who upload it from DDL have to get it from torrent first

that or it's because the time it takes to make a torrent is MUCH shorter than that it takes to upload a file
