I need a 13 to 15.6 inches laptop for my trip in a 3 weeks, I'm mainly getting it to watch movies (1080p), surf the web, very light gaming. There are so many options and I'm not good with tech so I need some advice. I want to keep the budget low, thinking around $500 to $700. Thanks

    http://www.newegg.com/

you can find a lot of gems here, I was looking at something cheap a while ago around your price range as well so I can just install Linux. Not sure if they still have it but I found an ASUS that's about 15" and very very light

Really depends on what kind of brand and style you might want. I personally would look for something with i5 (6th or 7th gen series), 8gb of ram, and if possible, something with SSD. $500-$700 do have a lot of choices to choose from.

I'll list a few from Microsoft Store... Though mostly Dell since they'er on sale...

Hello EvilTofu , I found two laptops which suit your needs.
    Asus F550VQ-NH52 and Acer E5-575G-5341
According to the reviews at Newegg, these two are quite nicely priced.
    The performance is also good:
    • I5 CPU, suitable for all daily tasks,
    • SSD, short boot/load times, much faster than conventional Harddisk
    • Dedicated Nvidia GTX 940m / 950m GPU, games are playable on 'light/low' settings,
    • 1 TB Harddisk for storage
    • 15.6 Full HD screen
    • Acer does not include optical drive, but has USB 3.1 type c (latest generation mobile phones (Android) have USB type c ports)
    Good luck :thumbsup3:

Costco, buy it, use it. Then return it.
