Thanks for the links b-lee, just one thing (and this is not a criticism on your behalf), but the "Cantonese" version isn't exactly all Cantonese, only a few people such as Tony Leung speak it. The rest speak in Mandarin, I'd say most of the movie is actually still in Mandarin despite switching to the Cantonese audio track. I guess it'd be closer to say the Cantonese audio track is how the movie was filmed, i.e. the actors spoke their own native language.

B-lee, Can you please break up the Pserve file as I am only getting less than 100 kb/sec download speed on it - for some strange reason. It will take me 6 hours to download except I would be timed out way before then. Have been trying for 2 days yet without success.
Finally managed to download the movie after fourth attempt. Can anybody suggest how do I switch on the English sub titles since a substntial part of the movie is still in Mandarin.
What player are you using? Recommend either VLC or MPC (Media Player Classic). but if you don't want to deal with of having to download codec, I recommend VLC. It has built in codec that can play just about every video or audio format. how to turn on subtitle, follow steps below VLC: while movie is playing, click video -> subtitle track -> english MPC: while movie is playing, click navigate -> subtitle language -> english
The movie is played in VLC with subtitle track English turned on but no subtitles are displayed. I noticed that when the rar file was unpacked there was no subtitle file (.srt) that came with it. In this case, is the subtitle embedded within the tracks? I tried selecting Thai and Chinese subs as well and non of the subtitles came on.
Brumby, there are subtitles embedded into the video. Not sure why you are getting slow speeds, but I will split the file into two just in case other members are having trouble.
Problem with subtitles solved. I was using an older version of VLC. Upgraded the version which addresses some issues with MKV format.
b-lee, downloaded the file but got "Unexpected end of archive" error message when trying to extract the film. Any suggestion what caused this error?
b-lee, "Unexpected end of archive" error message solved by downloading the film again. I am using VLC player though the audio track selected is Cantonese but the sound output is in mandarin. WHY?
Hi, just finish watching this great Kung-Fu movie last night, one of the best Kung-Fu movie I've ever seen. Thank for uploading the quality movie and thank you, Wong-Kar-Wei.
